x3.
These vehicles are rated at 12city 14hwy from the factory on 31" hwy tires.

You are getting 14MPG on 38" aggressive mud terrains?
How are you tracking your miles, GPS?

I can pull 14 mpg no problem running 65-68 mph - this is based on a calibrated Scangauge measuring pure highway miles on one tank filling up at the same pump.

My mileage is better than it was stock on 33's. 37's are far less of an issue than having enough gearing to stay lighter on the pedal and not trying to cruise at 75 mph or higher.

Nay, have you weighed your truck at all anytime recently?

I was right at 6000 with my old 315's, these Hummer tires are tanks, so they've probably offset any weight savings dumping the power seats.

:hhmm: Man we are all over the place here I need to go get mine weighed now.I did see a big gain from 75 to 65 in m.p.g. have not put numbers on it yet but I will. Still waiting on my 16.5 x 37 on H1 wheels with PVC inserts rock rings and powder coating.AND I am getting ready to install my SLEE 6" .....and I am LIFT looking for a WINCH is 8000 lb warn big enough :hillbilly: ??

I remembered this thread and stopped by the (un-manned, but scales still on) weigh station today. 6300 lbs; full fuel tank, just me in it, no cargo other than the usual recovery gear and tools that I always keep in it. No 3rd row seats, but my homemade plywood drawer system for the gear. I guess I really need to go on that diet!
Edit: Well, we both went on a diet. I lost 35 lbs and the 80 is down to 6150 after moving the winch to my mini.

More than wet sand under running water.

I can't get mine to stand still long enough on the bathroom scale!

A few months ago I was at the building supply. I was at 5500lbs, IIRC.
I will have to double check now. Everyone's numbers DO seem all over the place, so it has be double guessing myself. Need some cement and sand for a project in the next week so I will do it again...

'90 HDJ 81, 1HD-T, dual batteries, 33x12.5-15's, TJM front bumper, factory winch, TJM roof rack, probably 100lbs of tools.

Oh, and I get 14MPG's which would be considered city mileage where I live.

Just weighed mine to see where I'm at before I start armoring it up.

These are stout trucks......

Just took my truck back to the same scale after I back-halfed it... 5360#'s!
Mods since I last weighed it:
345 KM2'S
sliders
150# flat belly skid plate made of 1/2'' steel
And the custom back box/body...

So I lost about 700# overall, not too bad...

Mine sounds kinda heavy with it being stock. It weighed in at 5200. That's with a full talk of fuel, all the seats, almost nothing in the truck and me not in it.

6850 #
