I swung by my local s c r a p yard today and got my 80 weighed.

Mods:

35" MTR Kevlars on 15" steel wheels, no spare
custom rear bumper
custom roof rack with hi lift
dual batteries
drawer system with a decent amount of tools
1/2 tank of gas
Me (155 lbs)

Front - 2940 lbs
Rear - 3060 lbs
Total - 6015 lbs

I was very happy to see how well balanced the thing is!!! I plan on making some sliders (buying Trail Gear ones and moding them), Building a tube front bumper, and adding a winch, so I should be right at 50/50 weight distribution with those mods and around 6300-6400 lbs, no wonder I'm getting 10 MPG!!

Just curious to see how the others are weighing in.

5200lbs.....w/me and minimal gear and a half tank of fuel

5850 with winch and front bumper, little tools, mostly unloaded. Probably touching 6k with sliders and topping that with rear bumper, spare and more to come...
AR

6750 lbs :D

What's your setup and how may MPG's you getting?

Also, does anyone know what a 100% stock 80 ACTUALLY weighs cause most of us are already over the GVW unloaded.

Hey I got 5240 stock with tools me and the mutts at the dump recycling the toyota red and some gas

so 4800 net unloaded ? Im 155 ,2 40 lb dogs ...no rear seats, 150 lbs in tools..all of em were in the back!!

Armoring up is gonna suck!!

Stock and empty my rig was just under 5,000lb. I'm a Diesel with factory dual batteries, so that's probably upping the weight a bit.

With the current amount of armour and nothing else inside, I'm around 5,600lb.

i'm getting 14 mpg, and i have custom bumpers front and rear, roof rack, sliders, 38 inch bfg ta km 2's on 16x10 steel wheels, 3 link, diff armor, a few tools and 1'm 190 lbs

Wow, I'm impressed by your 14mpg. My rig is almost all stock besides 295s, a arb bumper, 50 pounds of trash and I'm lucky to get 12.

Ditto on the MPG of a truck with armour and on 38's... 14 is amazing!

Stopped at the local truck scale while it was closed one night. 2510 kg = about 5500 lbs. Thats me, 2 kids under 5. 3rd row removed. Cruisin' Off Road sliders:D
Sitting on 285's and had about 1/2 tank of go juice. I seem to be getting about 12.5 MPG right now.

6700lbs when loaded with gear and two people for a trip.

Generally around 6300lb normally.

Factory spec curb weight is 4760lbs. Mine weighed 5100lbs when it was bone stock. I think that was with me in it too.

Official max weight is 6470lbs, but these things can relatively safely be overloaded beyond the U.S. factory spec for max weight. Some rigs have well surpassed 7000-7500lb of total weight.

Nice solid one ton rated fully boxed frame and full floating axles make a difference.

I would be very surprised with his set up if he is getting 14 mpg.
I find it very hard to believe.

Mine was 5560lbs yesterday. Had the spare on board (mostly leave it in the shop when in town) and a couple of hundred pounds of tools that were being delivered.

Trail gear sliders
No stock rear bumper, but custom tube with mount
part time tcase mod with no viscous coupler.
Full of gear (tools spares, highlift, straps)

Mud/snow and road grime covering it due to the beautiful WI weather.

5400 lbs at the scrap yard. I told the wife we need to shave about 400 lbs off and get it to 5000 which I think is doable

x3.
These vehicles are rated at 12city 14hwy from the factory on 31" hwy tires.

You are getting 14MPG on 38" aggressive mud terrains?
How are you tracking your miles, GPS?
