How do you keep your garage organized? (1 Viewer)

We got some cabinets up in the woodshop over the weekend to continue the work on getting things organized. A guy had bought dozens of these at a government auction and then was selling the excess. I like how the doors slide into the cabinet so they aren’t sticking out to hit your head on when they’re open. They also have fluorescent lights under them to add some more task lighting to the workbench. I have some similar ones downstairs as well.

My latest addition to organizing my garage. A box to hold nitrile gloves. I have boxes all over the place. Six total! It was ridiculous. So I had some Axel laying around. 15 min later I had a box to hold them. Box slides in from the top.

Sears tool chests, Craftsman workbenh cabinets. A seconf work bench. Use two RACOR Garage storage systems. They work great to install RTTs on the truck

I use little pull out storage drawer bins you can get at any hardware store for screws and nails. The kind that has like 20 small drawers in a plastic case.

I've heard it said, that a tidy desk/workshop, is the sign of a disturbed mind (or words to that effect).
So........... going on this above mess, I should be ok.......?

You can still walk through it.
I used to have to take stuff out before being able to enter the garage.

continuous struggle, esp with the ongoing eagerness to reclaim used/broken/free stuff.

"SCORE!! I bet I can use the tank and upgrade my existing compressor!" I says to myself with the giddiness of a child in a candy store. ;P

I like this thread, and have found some great ideas. In my garage I used some peg board on one wall. On the top of the pegboard I used a 1x4 to sort extra spray cans. I organized sets of wrenches on french cleats, which also hang on my rolling tool cart when I want to take a whole set of wrenches with me.
