on the road again....
is the axle or differential cover stamped anywhere with the original rear end ratio....or what ??
Thinking in terms of years 2008 to present day 200 series?

Obviously someone could change their gearing. Just wondering how it is marked from the factory.

Thanks gang...

It's on the VIN tag in the door jamb, Right after "A/TM" (A for axle) in the lower left corner. The web seems not to completely agree on how to decipher this info, but here's one example:

yeah the VIN occurred to me too. But it is still confusing....so what rear end is that one? A 3.58....

Thanks

I don't think that chart can apply to US 200s anymore, because we don't have 7.5 or 8" ring gears. We have 9" and 9.5" ring gears.

2008-2015 has 3.90:1 ratio
2016+ has 3.30:1 ratio

I might know the ratios, but I don't know how to read the VIN on a 200 series, sorry I can't help with that.
