This thread is a few months old but I'm looking to do this really soon and none of the pictures are working for me and I'd really like to see what some other folks have done. Is there another way to access these pics?

you should look in to fabbing and selling adapter plates like the one
you made it would probably beat man-it-aint free's prices I know I would buy one.

I'll take the second off the line.
I've got PS fluid all over the nice blanket lining under my hood.:bang:
I've got Saginaw pump in a box in back.
Just need adapter bracket & spacer.

I've read that the stock Hi-pressure line will thread into Saginaw....you obviously had problem with this....am I gonna' need converter line from JT Outfitters? (Metric to Standard)

But seriously, I'd be willing to pay reasonable amount for the "converter kit".....heckuva' lot cheaper than whole new bracket.

"The pressures lines were .020" off from each other so we had to cut and do some silver soldering."

What does this mean? How were they off 20 thou? The threads of the fittings matched up right?

I'm going to do a similar install on my FJ62 pretty soon, and I'll write something up for that since they are different. And I may have to put an * by it since I have a 2F-E and that made my mount different from a 3F-E FJ62.

Ok, it has been a while, but the threads were off by 20 thousandths. However, since then I had to completely replace the high pressure line and the new fitting had the same thread as the original and I was able to screw it right in. Luckily the seal on this fitting is handled by an O-ring so the slight thread disparity doesn't cause any leaks.

Well, originally I soldered the Saginaw fitting to the Toyota line. But that line started showing some cracks and leaking so I had a new HP hose made by a hydraulic shop and they had a fitting that worked.

Someone had posted that they used a pump from a 77 GM pickup with no problems. Also, I think someone mentioned a pump from a Volvo 240 or 740 will work.

I picked up a pump from a Volvo 740 this weekend while at the pull and save. Mine is going in a 62 and when it is done, I will include a writeup specifically for the 62 since it is on the passenger side.

Has anyone else successfully used the Toyota stock HP line without any problems? I'd a lot rather be able to use this one. But don't want to have to tear it all apart to replace the hose later.

Thanks for the advice.

I am running the Volvo version box with stock 60 HP line. I have a spare stock line just in case but I have been DDing my rig and no leaks what so ever on the PS.

Thanks, I'm just wondering about the actual fitting. Mine threads in fine, maybe a little sloppy, but in the Toy pump, there's a raised, rounded nipple that the HP line fits over with a cup shaped fitting. The Saginaw fitting is, I believe almost flat at the back of the hole....just wondering whether this will seal up okay....Thanks again for your reply.:hhmm:

Okay!.....Does your pump match my description, i.e., flat interior seal surface? Hope so.....waiting hopefully for your reply.

Mine was from a 70's GM pickup.:p

The reservoir looks the same but you can't see the mounting holes in that picture. It would work, you just may have to alter the bracket design.
