Holley sniper

at the risk of sounding like a dumb dumb I was wondering: Has anybody used the jeep 258 sniper kit on a 2f? I am wondering if it would suit the 2f being similar engines? They are both 4.2L right? I am guessing the intake manifold bolt pattern is different though...

I have been thinking about doing the 2300 sniper kit in the nearish future because I already have a holley carb adapted on my 2f on my fj55. but was curious about the one mentioned above. Just wondering

I was chatting with @BenjaminCA on Instagram, and he was mentioning trying out the 2GC Holley Sniper Kit instead of the 2300. It was mentioned that the bolt patter is smaller on the 2GC and may pose some issues with an adapter. And right now, there is no adapter to fit the 2GC to a 2F intake.

That got me thinking... and I think I found a real simple option to mate the two together.

Before I get into it, I do have experience with the adapter I am talking about, so I am confident it should work.

First you buy two 1937 adapters @ 20 bucks a pop.

I’ve got the 2GC single barrel in service with about a thousand miles, trouble free. Air cleaner was a challenge over the readily available adaptors for the 2300. The base mounts alot easier than the 2300 without any adaptors neccessary(just mill the mounting holes a little wider).

Yeah I am aware of the 2gc swap. however @Jdc1 If it mounts easier that seems like the ticket! . I beleive the one I linked is a specific to the jeep 258 engine. what is that a carter carb stock? anyways I just curious if anybody had messed with this one on the land cruisers. I like the idea of the 2gc too though. air cleaner would be tricky on the cj 258 sniper If you wanted a factory air cleaner.
