The interior is far from done.
If you line the roof like mine make sure you remove ALL the old glue,i had a area i cleaned up but left the old glue on there, the self adhesive insulation has lifted in a couple of small spots on that old glue, the rest of the roof it stuck like **** to a blanket,it likes a smooth surface to bond to,glueing the carpet to the insulation worked well,it will never come apart, one coat of contact adhesive on the carpet to seal it,leave it for a while then a second coat and one on the mateing surface of course.

The truck is so quiet is not funny, the combination of rear storage area, fat matt and dynamatt, carpet and thick jute plus the roof insulation, all new seals and wagongears door seals has made it a very nice truck to drive, now i need to get it back off my wife:mad:

Thank you, once the snow melts I'll get to work. Not worried about the wife on my part, she's happy with her Corolla, and describes the HJ60 as "undrivable"...;)

 and a  to you mate!

As droolworthy as they come.

Hi fellas,
No more progress on the truck at the moment, ive been working away from home for 3-4 months, finished the job up 3 weeks ago,i had a week to get the truck ready for a 3 week trip to the outback,i just went over a few bits and pieces(belts, hoses, oil etc) before we left.
The truck ran well,i was going to put a few photos of the outback up but my camera decided to s*** itself on the trip.
I will be trying to finish the interior off the next few weeks so will post some progress photos

We had a good trip(2 of us) 70ozs all up.

HeHe Gorilla,i could tell you the spot but then i'd have to kill ya:flipoff2:

I take it you sorted out the turbo problem then.
Nice collection of rocks too.
I'm starting to forget what a 60 is like to drive, mine hasn't moved since you came round on your way up north!

Hi matt,no haven't sorted the turbo out yet,i think i'll try to get a new exaust housing from overseas then replace that and go from there, the wastegate had small cracks when i put new seals in the turbo a cuppla yrs back i remember.

What the Hj60 is still parked?

Yeah it's still parked. Going on 7months! Had to hop in it last weekend and do the little boy thing and grip the wheel and change gears. The wife recons i was making noises as well but i cant remember.
I've only got 1 part of the job i need to do (pressure relive valve). And whenever i get close to getting the radiator my daughter decides she would rather the money be spent on her.
I hope soon though its dusted off and driving.

Here Erik,no room on the other side, need to mount it in front of washer bottle.

Hey Goldie... Any more updates on this thing?

I just went back through your thread as Im about to park mine and pull it apart for suspension and body/paint work. I think I am going to borrow your chromeless look with the black window surrounds. Thats really sharp looking.

Anyway, hope things are well down there!

Not really alot done for a while jax,ive been using it,made a small overhead console, another between the seats, led lights are in it,roof rack.
I'll put some photos up soon of the few little bits.
Just got in from the outback late yesty arvo, been out for a month.
Have a long hard think about springs, which to buy,my HD dakars are not up to the job when im loaded up for a trip, there sagging one side also, iwouldn't buy them again.
