We pulled the old 100 gallon / tool box out of the bed a few weeks ago and i see some rust, which i was expecting. The PO had torched somewhat of a circle in the bed to get to the main drain/plug under the fuel tank . The rust isn't really that bad but i was more concerned with the four corners of the bed itself. Infront and behind each wheel well, in the bed, it looks like there are inserts in the bed. They match the ridges in the center of the main part of the bed and they are held in with large phillips head bolts.
Is this the way they came?

Yup x2

The center section of floor between the wheel wells is spot welded to the cross-members. The front corner section, wheel wells and rear corner section are only welded to the center floor section and bolted to the cross-members.

I can't imagine you haven't seen my thread, :grinpimp:, where I scratch build an entire bed but here's the link. The corner sections are first shown at the end of page three and then the assembly is on page fiveish.

But wait, there's more shameless plugs-

The link in my sig is to the thread in classifieds where I am selling bed parts. Let me know if you need anything.

I have been watching it alot and was about to tell ya'll not to bother. I found my answer on your very excellent build and price sheet. I may be in contact with you very soon.

Ok...so how do you think i should handle this one? It looks like he had a gooseneck in the bed as well. Would this be sectioned out or should i replace part of the center section?
