That bumper is schweeeeeet! It makes me lust after your cruiser.:crybaby: Now I wanna buy a welder and get crazy!:D

Is the V8 engine done?

All is well with the V8 80. It is going to the body shop in Jan for a new olive green paint job. It is so much fun to drive. I have been driving it to work alot.

The shortbus is getting "restored" in January with the addition of an exo. I have a new body for it. I am going to paint it yellow again maybe with some flames.

and of course there'll be a thread on this,,,,,right?

Have you wheeled the V8 80 yet? Is it your DD?
Been wheeling the shortbus much?

The I have had both trucks out a few times. My dd is a chevy truck. Busy building a new house now. Instead of wheeling I am picking out plumbing fixtures and appliances. Might wheel the 14th in wellsville ohio and also new years day.

Great job Kirk!
You give us other 80 owners more to dream of, I wish I could and enough money to do some uppgrades like yours. The bumper and fenders are great "do-it-yourself" catalogs for inspirations.
I put in a picture of the nicest rig in Norway, he is a good frend of me, and he have got done som great fenderjob too. (but he got a company to do it, Arctic Truck) The rest of the rig is more like good plans, mutch money and bolt on.

I just read through this... I really dig this bumper.

What happened to Kirk?

Guess a lot of people never seen this thread.

There are a lot of threads from the 2004-2007 time period that deserve to be bumped for the entire new crop of 80 series owners.

Kirk is still in Akron and runs a very busy shop. I haven't seen him on MUD in ages. That reminds me, I owe him a phone call.

This is what Kirk does during the day:

I used to work for him back in my PhD days in Ohio. Great guy, impressive designer and fabricator. What he can do with metal is mind-boggling.
