Have you ever thought about airing down?

what no pics of my rig? I am beat today. We got back to town way too late last night.

funny you should ask

after these pics were taken I did. my club kept yellin at me to air down but its so much work to refill them that i didn't want to bother. in the pic im running 22lbs

after i aired down to 8psi things were easier

Good to know. It's amazing to me how many people can't go up stuff and don't know why, while they are running 20 lbs of air. There is a 200% improvement for me when I air down from 10psi to 4psi.

Get you some beadlocks and you won't have to worry about losing a bead anymore. One of the best things I've done...

Dusty .. nice pics .. thought it's just fantastic you can go wheeling ( serious wheeling ) with your complete family secure in a 80 !

is that a red potty on your bumper, Dusty?

yea thats the potty.

yea we are doing well with the family wheeling thing. my wife can drive fairly well too. if she gets stuck she just pushes the button (locker)

Hi Dusty, been following this build for a while and wanted to ask about the welder you used.

Reading through your posts it looks like you used a Miller 175 for everything. Did you ever feel the need for a more powerful welder?

What was the thickest material you welded using the 175? Looks like 1/2" but wanted to double check.

TIA

Dusty I must keep missing it but what truck did your front D60 come out of originally??

Dusty, I'm curious about that extra tube on the rear of your sliders. Why did you add it? Does it really make a difference?

Ok cool. It seems like he just added that. I want to do that to mine. How do I go about bending up some for mine. How far does it stick out? What length tube did it start out as. I need to get someone to bend me up some. Should work against trees I bet as well.

used a miller 175. plenty hot enough for what i built. nothing has broke

the d60 was from a late 80's dodge. 2" narrower than the chevy axle that Megolfer put uner his fj40

yea i made the kick outs just for calico because last year dinged my door on the gatekeeper. (and was denied last year)

well they worked but i beat on the left one relentlessly getting up the gatekeeper (not denied this year) and bent it up preventing me from opening the rear door. i also chewed the kick out up pretty bad. still put a small dent in the rear quarter even with the kick out

and you got to make your own kick outs or bring your tube to my house and bend them there.

i just finished swapping a 60/14b combo in my lx450 and im having some issues getting my brakes working properly. i completely removed the abs system hoping that would fix the problems but it hasnt helped. the brakes seem to be working properly on the rear discs but im not getting much on the front. also, i can build up pressure by pumping the pedal but if i hold my foot on the pedal after pumping it, it loses pressure and goes to the floor pretty quickly. i was wondering what you did to get your brakes working better, if anything?
