stock master cyl. lots and lots of bleeding after removing the abs. the brakes didnt change at all after removing the abs. going to remove the proportioning valve tomorrow. so it will be 50/50 front/rear and that will at least remove most of the variables out of the system. then its either mc or calipers.

If it looses pressure as you're holding the pedal, then it could definitely be the MC. Same problem on my 60 after going SOA and it was the MC.

I don't know if Dusty has mentioned it, but I'll give you a tease... What he is bulding now will put this rig to shame and turn it into the unwanted redheaded step child of the family.

Dusty, you going to make it? It's going to be an epic year with all the weather the Sierra's have gotten this past year. I'll be going up for a few days and running around with the other Wagons...Hope to see you up there and get to wheel with you after a lot of web wheeling chat. Cheers.

PS the new project the HummVeeeee (that's my guess)

Nope that isn't it. Lets just say it is better :) But I won't tell till he is ready to announce it.

Sounds interesting. As far as I know, Rubithon is still a go, but whether we get to the Springs or camp along the trail is not yet known.

You still on for Dusy? Hopefully that gets some good warming and melts all the snow. in 2005 the trail was still closed at the end of July due to snow.

are you using your stock 80 series brake MC .. ? proper bleeding after remove the ABS . ?

still using the 80 MS. i have a brand new 1 ton MS and a adaptor-not time to mount.

my 80 ms is "ok" and i had to bleed it several times after removing ABS. truck holds decent enough to keep me safe but not enough to race

Straight from Marlin (he is a club member and I am the TLCA BOD Rep so somewhat in the loop), the Con is on, but it is going to be a winch fest and those without experience and well built rigs should seriously reconsider, even then, be prepaired for worse case and Monday could be a posibility for the day you get out. Contact TLCA if you have more questions or if you already paid and are concerned about your money. DIfference this year, around the 1st, was that there would not be the huge BBQ since obvioulsy the trailer will not have an easy time getting in. Other than that, I don't want to jumble up what Marlin said or say something in conflict to todays status on the Con fro TLCA.

I am out since I may need to sell my rig for son's tuition... and my sm420 is still on the garage floor. I don't want to draw attention to the 40. Maybe the wife will forget about selling it or if enough time goes buy without a good offer, I'll keep it. either way I can't play with it for a while at least so bummer!

not a yota but thought id put her up anyway. just finished

first pic is after paint. last 2 are all done pics. just finished

looks great now come and help me punk

Hummer came out great! I love hummers (pun intended) :ban: :o

Is this your tow vehicle now or are you gonna wheel it?

the 6.5 litre gm is factory non turbo. runs great but slow as hell. not for towing.

top speed is 55mph pinned. Not for HWY

80 will spank it off road. Not for wheeling

I dont know what its for actually. was a fun project anyway. looks cool

I may be trading it for a local cummins converted h1. I drove this cummins hummer sunday and its fast as hell. we will see

I was wondering where it fit in your vehicle line up. so what would you do with the cummins H1?

Drift

The 24v cummins powertrain has selectable 2wd and a 450hp, 700lb/lbs tuner. Hummers have a killer ebrake

Military H1's with soft top weigh 5300lbs (aluminum body). I am ammazed at how well mine soakes up a sloppy road.
