Hello Everyone!

I'm trying to identify a hole underneath the drivers seat in the tub of my car. I originally thought it might be drain plug hole but could't find anything on that or the actual plug part. Research is all over the place. An O2 sensor pass though, some Aux wire port. Would anyone have any ideas?

Ha. Yeah, no other matching holes underneath passenger seat or anywhere on body. It’s neatly cut that I thought it was factory at first. Trying to figure out what possible accessories one could have that would cause one to place hole to run something to the exterior or from the exterior into the cab.

My 72 has factory dished drain holes that size more towards the front, like right below the dash and 1.5" from the doors.

I was thinking that is where the wire for the park brake switch comes thru and goes to the handle????
or
a PO put a hole in a very odd place in the tub

If you are looking at this hole (which it appears you are if I'm not mistaken), it is a factory OEM hole for the catalytic converter sensor. Not strictly an O2 sensor since this predates that type sensor. Its more of a heat sensor for early cats. Lots of people don't have the sensor that runs through here if you've been de-smogged. The connection to the smog computer is through this part of the wiring harness (a pig tail near the hand brake portion of the harness)
