heavy duty ladder rack on 3rd gen 4runner (1 Viewer)

having a hard time checking all the boxes on needs for a new vehicle.

can i get a heavy duty ladder rack for hauling stuff on a 3rd gen 4 runner like i have on my taco?!

The stock luggage carrier on my 02 Runner is pretty flimsy. No way will you bolt or fasten a ladder carrier.

dang. i'm trying to find a /simple/ new vehicle and if i could just get a heavy duty ladder rack i think i'd just about be there. been kicking around the 80 or 100 series land cruisers but the 80 series many need more repairs than i want to spend time or money on and the 100 series is sure to be more complicated/electronic than i want.

You'd have to go full length roof rack either custom made or from someone like Gobi. This is what I built for mine and my wife and I have both stood up there with no problem. I have it bolted into stock side rails.
