More like Candy !! not spa

Ya but my clear glass is kind of trashed. No never stripped the OEM tint.

Cheers
It’s been 10+ years since people were playing around with it. I went back and looked and it kinda seems like it only works (perfectly) on the rear hatch glass. The side windows not so much. So scratch that thought.

What I’m talking about if you were curious :

Had to do a little work to get the early grill to fit up right, using an early valance being part of that. I will definitely have to run clear turn signals.

Glass guy showed up today, I didn’t check the part number close enough on my OEM gasket. Turns out it is the chrome strip insert style. I don’t want that so we have to reschedule when I get the right OEM gasket. 🤦‍♂️

Slightly used, one small chip that has been repaired, been in the stash for awhile. When we bought it 4-5yrs ago it was the last one in the country before they went NLA. I am going to rock it until it’s toast!!

I am happy it retained the “bubble” look of the body and front end. Something that makes an 80 an 80 to me.

The other door glass, so both front doors the glass is still available FYI from Toyota.

This will have to get a clear lens too, clear lenses all the way around I think will look best on this Cruiser.

Going to have both sets tinted but ya the clear is the OG glass out of this Cruiser and it has scratches and pits and so forth so it’s kind of meh.

Now you need to make an 80 series pick up bed to really mess with people!

I am going with a flatbed, setup for multi purpose. I like to sleep inside my Cruiser, can’t do that here without a fairly long bed on it among other issues. So instead I have a nice James Baroud hardshell roof top tent that will get mounted level with the top of the cab.

Just sitting here sanding away with some 1500g on the UTE. 😑

Windshield getting installed on Friday. Rest of the glass may be done with tint tomorrow. Going for it here on final polish and get glass in it so I can, push it outside.

This reminds me that I still need to find an early valence. When I bought my 94 the PO had replaced the bottom valence with one from a later model. It often bugs me, but not enough to change it yet. I too have thoughts to upgrade to clear in the front, but this thing looks awesome right now regardless.

3000g on the left, cutting compound on the right. Still a polishing compound to do yet everywhere.

This is getting a bit ridiculous for a “rocklander” but once I/we were committed to this level of paint job we got to see it through to the end. I could keep going on the right too as there is still micro scratches in it.

😑🤦‍♂️

I am going to put a PPF over this though! Already got quotes.

Cheers

Sunday fun day!! 😆

It may not pop like it would with colors reversed but it still pops pretty nicely! 😋🤌

You don’t really see it in pictures but there has been lots of hours between my posts!! 😑

I think we are nearly there now on the cutting compound. All that is left is a polish. Probably let it gas off another month or so before doing to PPF.
