Too far north. Too far east.
We talked about a moonlight run at the last meeting. Here are the full moon rises for the next two months. November looks like the best month.

Sounds like fun - Nov. 24 & 25 are the Saturday and Sunday of Thanksgiving Day weekend.

I don't have a problem with the Saturday/Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. Some folks may be traveling, but I think we'll be in town.

That would give us a chance to go drive off some turkey calories!

Finally a chance to bust out the expensive off road lights for some folks.....!!

My Thanksgiving will be filled up but I'm game for 11-21 (Wednesday). It is almost full and would give plenty of light. Most people would be off the following day.

Why don't you make this a sticky until it happens?

The full moon of Nov 24th will also be at perigee, so the full moon should be relatively bright. December is the solstice so the moon will be a little higher, and also only a couple of days from perigee. Either way looks good...

By the way, this site is from the co-auther of Autocad. Lots of good stuff in it, including the Earth screen saver:

I highly recommend its perusal...

i have to work sat and sun after thanksgiving-48hrs. (the price paid for having all week before and just after off). if the main consensus can make it then do it, don't wait for me. i may be game for December. even if it's a few days before or after the exact full moon days, light should be fairly good.

a side note- i used to go night cross country skiing by the full moon in college. it was a total blast. in fact, the 1st 3 times i tried (and learned) CC skiing were by the full moon.

I work a similar schedule to Shawn, which can be maddening to others.

I'm working after T-Day, but am game for pre or post full moon.

I'm up for a night run on Wednesday before Thanksgiving (Nov. 21). It's not a "school night" and that would give Shawn and Graham a chance to participate. If we have fun ( and I'm sure we will), we can go again later.

Ive got no off road lights, but I've got the two on the front of my truck that Mr. T included from the factory!

We'd probably be interested in Wednesday or Saturday night. Maybe I'll even get my idle fixed by then.

I'm in for Wednesday. Let's book it. I don't have extra lights either but I'm not too concerned about it.

Great - let's go for Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

That's the spirit. Have fun. I'll be at my sisters.
