Was it easy to swap?

It just landed from japan a few days ago and I haven’t had the time yet. From the other threads it looks pretty simple. Just have to take out the console to access the overdrive button connections. Then it’s two screws and pops off.

it requires raising the console, and then the transmission tunnel cover, so that you can get to the electrical plug - not difficult, just want to make sure you don't break/scratch anything - you don't need top get it completely off, just raised - assembly is reverse of disassembly

Awesome video. Wites didn't pull up as easy as I thiught. Got hung up at the little opening at the bottom of the shift tube. Any helpful hints for the reverse process?
Pushing them back down was easier than pulling them out.

Push them down the tube until they just barely poke out. Use your finger to guide them out in a way that they just don't jam in to something but so you can grab them.

I certainly hope so! Didnt completely take off the center console so worked with the shift tube in place. I have 6 PIAA buttons to roof rack lights and not enough slack to take it off so just removed the back console and lifted the front enough to access the wiring harness.

Successful morning though getting the shift knob and steering wheel off successfully without breaking anything. Thats quite a feat for me! Now off they go to Craft Customs for new leather.

Just did mine today. Not great stitching but most of the work went in to the leather prepping. Feels way better and no more big hole with that rubber poking through.

The trick really is to prepare the leather properly. You have to find some leather that has been massaged and stretched by the gluts of a female the same age as the vehicle. If you go too young the leather is likely too cheap. This really isn't that much leather so she doesn't have to have a very large gluteal mass to harvest enough leather, just need one section of a skirt or pants that is about the size of a 8x10 piece of paper without stitching or cuts.

Feels great in the hand.
