I pulled out the pop-up canopy and got some work done.

Here's the smaller condenser installed. Now I have room to tighten the hose fittings. I did end up making some holes in the radiator support bracket.

David,

Turned out nice. I've the same problem with the condenser lines, have to tighten them up, then bolt it in. Good Job!

I like the tire step, I use one on my Deuce.

Just a quick update. I tried getting the new compressor installed with the new mounting bracket, but had about 2" of interference with the frame. I thought I was dead in the water, but did some research and found out the Gwagen guys running the OM617 had a similar issue. I then found out that some of the early OM617 powered sedans and Gwagens came with dealer installed York AC compressors that were mounted high instead of down low near the frame rails. The following link shows what one guy did: http://www.peachparts.com/shopforum...trofit-final-days-york-compressor-photos.html

On a different note, I bought a chrome (more bling) 10SI alternator off of the MUD classifieds for $40 shipped. I got it to work with the stock alt bracket and a 2F alternator adjuster bracket. These GM style alternators offer high amps and easy wiring.

Thanks. I really should paint the 2F bracket. All the rust makes the chrome look bad :)

I am now caught up on this and motivated to finish mine. Where did you get the throttle cable kit?

Hi Dave, I couldn't find it in the thread but where did you order the oil cooler from? Thank you.

Since the weather is getting cooler down here in Texas, I got some work done. Here are some pics of a $25 winch bumper I picked up. I cleaned it up and welded up some extraction points. I also mounted an old 8274 winch.

If I remember right, for fear of the probe breaking off and lunching the turbo, shouldn't it be placed downstream of the turbo. Looks like that's where you have it, just checking.

That would be the safe way to go, but it would not give you the correct exhaust temps. I'm trying to find a place before the turbo on the exhaust manifold, but there aren't any nice flat spaces on top. I'm probably going to have to drill and tap on the bottom side.
