what are the differences between an H55 from behind a 2F and the H55 from behind a 1FZ-FE?

    Can a 2F H55 be put behind a 1FZ motor.

    TIA,

The tranny will but you will need the bellhousing, clutch set up, pedals, flywheel and bolts, hydralic clutch and set up. You may depending on year of crusier may have to disable the abs system. change your drive shafts if going in a 80 series. later robbie

So the main hurdle is bellhousing and flywheel.
Since this is a non USA configuration does anyone know if the parts are accessible(sp?) through Toyota? Or MAF or SOR?

I had a 4 hour drive back from LSCR and got to daydreaming if it could be done.

That is the setup I wanted but was told it was made of "unobtainium". Supposedly the 1FZ was mated to the H55F in a 78 or 79 series but even Marv at SOR said "good luck". So, I will be running the H150F.

I was looking on SOR's site and he is showing a H55/tcase combo that fits "1/90-1/98".

    Hmmmmm.

I will check with alan Podvin as to what 5 speed he installed in the turbo 80 he sold a few months back. I thought it was a H55 tranny. later robbie

Or any other idea that someone may have

No, that would have made too much sense.
    Thanks

They may tell you the H55 is not built for that application, its been said its not even a good choice behind a 1HD-T which has less HP and maybe more Torque.

Sounds like fifth is the soft point especially for you supercharge or turboed guys.

Heres the deal. In case it comes up again.
Looks like the H151F was the only one to go behind a 1FZ.
Aside from a custom bellhou$ing it ain't happening.
    Time to find a H151.
