Well, the whole assembly had to be replaced as the shift pin had wallowed out the housing. Easy fix, but pricey Lexus parts

When off road (which is a lot) I shift way more. Use L, 2,3 a lot and 2nd start to regulate speed. It has 168k so I think it was just wear and tear. Either way, I can help the next person when they see the symptom!

Icon front extended travel coilovers, timbren bump stops, new oem CVS, rear icon expedition Springs, and 34" bfg at k02 should be happening soon! Just waiting on the fab cycle for the coilovers! Getting excited!

Decided to add on the Timbren front bump stops as well. The reviews for the money seem to say "do it", especially since my sways are going bye bye in the back (fronts have been gone)

Same thing happened to my 03. I bought an eBay one from an 07 for $100. Mine started to act up by not wanting to shift into the low gears, then completely broke, leaving it working, but the shifter flopping around like a wet noodle.

Yep! Was simple to fix but dang expensive!

Late to the party - but just saw this. Don't do it!! :)

I ran 10.5 on an 8.5 wheel, and it made me very nervous when aired down and in off camber situations. Bead always looked like it was about to pop. Never did, but enough so to make me ditch those tires quickly.

Looking at the specs though...the section width for the 285 and the 34x10.50 are almost identical and the spec says a 9" rim is within service range. hmmmm

Me too :)

Just have to find the coin for the tires and wait for the coilovers to come in.

Once I recover, the long travel front and rear arms go in :)

Ah - I was assuming you were talking about the 255 tires.

Also keep in mind that the service range of the wheel is based on full inflation. When aired down, a narrow wheel is going to hold the bead better (assuming no bead locks :)).

Dan - have you wheeled at The Gulches in Laurens, SC yet? Looks like you're only about 3 hours from there.

Yep. Sloppy mess wet. Some fun trails but haven't been in a few years ago not sure

Ordered new front and rear driveshafts. No more vibrations is in my future now that the front diff supports are done.

Will be a fun wrenching day:
- Front and rear Icon extended travel coilovers/extended travel expedition springs
- Timbren bump stops front and rear (rear sway delete)
- New OEM CVs
- New OEM drive shafts front and rear

Then I get to save to do the exhaust manifolds, lower oil pan (little wet), and then long travel.

Getting close to not needing anything! woohoo!
