LX 600:

GX 460:

Land Cruiser 200:

And this is why the LC is not needed in USA. Basically the GX550 is the LC here! It is actually a few tiny inches bigger than LC200 in every dimension!

It does come optionally with e-KDSS. NO AHC. 😊

But without AHC, the approach and departure angles of Overtrail GX550 (26 and 22 respectively) are average and worst than LC200.

Didnt I tell you not to get the 600? 🤠

Yeah i have no idea what Lexus is doing here. LX600 and GX550 relationship is like LX570 and Land Cruiser before?

LX600, GX550, Sequoia, and maybe upcoming 4runner all same size???

I am drunk trying to understand what Toyota is doing here….

Yeah i am not getting anything at this time. My wife just got the GX and we are happy.

Too many people rn assuming Land Cruiser price dropped $30k. Theres a lot more to be examined here with the GX. Pricing may surprise?

Idk i might order one but I’m not in need for 2 LCs.

Did you see that all the dimensions are in this previous thread?

How much is the GX550? Is it worth trading in my 200? I loved the bomb proof construction of my 200 but want better gas mileage now.

I’ve read $65k starting price
I’m curious about internal dimensions leg/hip/shoulder/head…

Slightly better fuel economy, a rear locker, same size as the 200, but not $30K less. Entry level at $65K, Over Trail likely in the mid to upper $70's and I'd be willing to bet that the Luxury + is right there with the OT if not pushing $80K. 2021 Base Land Cruisers stickered at $86K, HE a few thousand more, down here and through ES the standard was $6-8K off sticker until right at the very end. At the very best the GX550 that most will want will only be $10K-ish less than what most late model 200's sold at. Odds are they will be marked up for the first year and the OT model maybe even beyond that.

Don't get me wrong here, I am firmly in the "I like what I see" camp, but I will not be buying a first model year and I will NOT be selling my 200 in favor of one. Odds are and this is if everything about it is a hit, we will wait until MY2025 or 2026 and trade in our current 2022 GX460 on one.

The Tundra got bigger in all exterior dimensions but ended up with smaller interior dimensions than the model it replaced. So while the exterior of the GX550 is around the same as a 200 it may end up being less interior space. Won't know for sure until all dimensions are posted but guessing that won't be until later in the year.

Jeeze, something a small step down from the 200 in size would be ideal for me. I hope the 4runner and "land cruiser" (if it ever materializes) are a little smaller. I can't imagine wheeling in anything bigger than the 200.

I was just at the Lexus dealer getting my AHC serviced, and stood next to a rs350. Sticker on that rig was $65k. That’s a 4 door, 2 row car based suv. I’d be willing to bet the gx will start around $80k. Worst part is everyone will be paying MVA’s way over sticker for the first 3 years. Hell, I’ve yet to see a sequoia in the wild, and dealers are listing em for $100k.

Silver lining, this rig looks capable and IMO is the best looking Lexus I’ve seen in a very long time. Looks like a bronco and a lx had a love child, which I really like. Wish it would come from the factory with a 30 gallon gas tank.

I think the GX550 will end up being the closest thing we can get here in the states to a modern day, new replacement that compares to the 200 Series LC. I mean that in regards to off road capability but in the wagon body style with body on frame construction and all of the luxury bits inside.

I also think pricing will max out right at or just under $90k for a luxury trim with all the options putting an equivalent over trail somewhere in the low to mid $80k range.

If you don't want all the luxo Lexus stuff you can opt for either the new 4Runner or whatever new LC we end up getting as both will end up down market. 4Runner $40k to $60k if i had to guess. LC similar, maybe pushing $65k for whatever top trim it ends up offering.

The GX 550 width of 83.22” appears to be incorrect in the US press release. The correct dimension of 77.9", from the World press release, seems to be correct, I created a drawing to calculate the correct dimensions in this post.

Don’t think that it is an error…US press just lists the width with the mirrors.

The mirrors are irrelevant to the overall width dimension since they sit inboard of the fender flares.

I guess…….but per your drawing…it is outboard of fenders….. :D

And US press did note…with mirrors.
