Where is that lake you were parked by in the middle photo? Is that still on the eastern side of the Sierra's?
Looks great. By chance can you recall which method wheels you purchased?View attachment 3613393View attachment 3613373

Got the CBI sliders installed today despite the rain. Also had to get creative with zip ties, a 2x4, and a floor jack to get them installed![]()

Wow! How do you handle all the crowds!Grabbing a little lunch in front of the Teton range. The rear door was clutch in this vacation to Grand Teton and Yellowstone. View attachment 3675354
Ours will be out there in a few months. I'll try to take a pic from that spot. Rock Chalk! Have fun!Grabbing a little lunch in front of the Teton range. The rear door was clutch in this vacation to Grand Teton and Yellowstone. View attachment 3675354
It wasn’t bad. The crowds are much better in the mornings. This was just a pull off at Grand Teton so people came and went pretty fast. There were two other families eating as well that we chatted with. I highly recommend Yellowstone. Truly a special place.Wow! How do you handle all the crowds!
Did it take long to get that prime parking spot???

What is the mpg like when you are towing your trailer? I was towing a 3500 lbs pop up and got 9.6mpg in the wind on the way and 12.6 on the way home in better weather. It was pretty hilly and at highway speeds the whole way. Just curious your experience.View attachment 3675409
From two years ago. Mammoth Hot Springs. Day before exiting park through Lamar Valley to Cody. Great week.
From here to SD was about 11-13 MPG. WY->MT->WY(YNP North Entrance) dipped to 9-11 MPG with the climb and wind. Stayed in manual shift(4-5) most of the trip but some climbs (East to Cody) had me down to 2nd gear. What is the mpg like when you are towing your trailer? Camper was about the same weight and I was on factory-sized Wildpeaks. I expect it to be a little worse now. Still far better than my 1GR-FE 4Runner (8-8.5 on an earlier trip to Cocoa, FL).
Can confirm on the gas station front.I only tow ~2500 pounds but get 9.5 at best 10.6 mpg would love to break into the 12 mpg range. Not mountainous but hilly enough even on what many think is flat that I always use S mode so 4th gear. Have never towed in overdrive in any of my rigs but at times have thought about it after I fill up LOL. I use 91 ethanol free but between the GX and buggy both have the aerodynamics of a brick

It is no different than what I got with the 4.0 in the Taco for 11 years towing the same

Once I get far enough North I carry four 5 gallon gas cans with me in the trailer because gas stations are few and far inbetween.
I'm not ever in a hurry and rarely see above 60 mph while towing. Also, I never use cruise control. In general I am the type that feathers the throttle just enough to maintain speed. That may be why I see different results.I only tow ~2500 pounds but get 9.5 at best 10.6 mpg would love to break into the 12 mpg range. Looks great! Do the headlamps retain the auto-leveling and turning functions? What tire size are you running? Looks to be about max for the rear door. All back together (with the exception of the front well well liners being fully in place). Anyone happen to know what SEM interior paint matches the Sepia brown interior panels? I need to repaint the tan rear door trim to match, and I’ve struck out finding anything locally View attachment 3677741
