Haven’t done much but drive this thing on the road.
Maybe I’ll get to do some off roading this summer.

You didn't have to do anything in the rear to make that fit? Or any special alignment?

Your setup looks fantastic, btw.
Thank you. Nothing in the rear and no special alignment. I did have to add another zip tie on the driver's side front to pull the upper front piece of the liner toward the headlights (not pictured on that thread). I think this is where most people say they use a heat gun to push the liner forward. I don't have one and didn't want to mess with that and a zip tie worked fine. Other than that, it very minimally rubs if I'm flexing off road and sometimes if I'm reversing and turning sharply while flexing, like out of a steep driveway.

Edit: Here's a picture. I was too lazy to cut the end of the zip tie. It's been like that since August last year. No problems.

If you're doing a full rack, you can mount a skinnier awning on the back. OVS, ARB, and a few others make them and they're cheaper than a full awning too.

Just be aware if you have satellite radio, you may lose reception, depending upon how you mount it.
Try to keep the shark finny thingy clear.

Keeping in theme with the thread name. GX460 / Prado 150 teaser pic. I’m getting close to wrapping up the conversion. More wiring today and I’ll have the front done. Rear door/bumper needs a little more stuff done but also very close

Speaking of satellite radio, does anyone running a roof rack know if you lose signal? Prinsu or other? I notice when I drove to Pagosa Springs with two sets of skis on the roof, the signal was spotty, and the skis didn't even cover the receiver.

Shouldn't be an issue with any rack unless the fin is completely covered. Even with my RTT covering it, the fin still was able to get a signal when driving in certain directions.

Waiting on a door shim kit to come in for the rear and then the bumper will go on. A few little things to tweak, but overall I’m super stoked how it’s completely changed up the truck

Now the only thing left to do is swap it over to RIGHT hand drive!!!

Lol that’s a hard no. I’m about done with the swapping of things….anyone have Prado windows? Mine say Lexus on the glass….

Hi all,
Been hanging out in the Lx600 space for a bit, but also do a decent amount of traveling with the family. Just sold my wife's 2019 and upgraded to a 2023 GX with an icon lift with billet UCA/Icon's delta joint, and some KO2's.

Time for a bit more adventure, and the icon system has given a good first impression.

We love our iKamper!
The only issue is now that we've had it for over 5 years, and my rig is 24/7/365 outside in all weather here in So. Cal, the top (sky) plastic window has developed some cracks/splits. I called them up and for about $500.00, they can unzip the ENTIRE canvas and zip a new one in!
Personally, I don't think $500,00 is not bad for an entire new canvas.
Right now a little duct tape works fine, but something we plan on doing in the near future.

Hi All. I took some pics of LC prados while in Japan recently, along with a few classic LCs for good measure, enjoy!
Also, I saw a new LC250 (prado) in a Toyota showroom and was surprised to see that it is listed for only $35k USD! The USD is at it strongest against the Yen since the past few decades, so that prob factors in to the low price, however still a great deal even if $40k+.

Do you or anyone else know what flares these are? I’ve searched all over for flares and either see the pocket style with fasteners which I will never run or some slimmer elford ones in Japan.

I've almost gotten to the point where I’m tempted to get my GX scanned, design flares, 3d print them out in sections and body work them, make a mold, then throw some carbon fiber sheets and resin into some vacuum bags to DIY my own…but I don’t want to do that with my time

Maybe not quite what you're looking for, but these exist. Seeing as you actually have a Prado front end, those in the picture will probably fit yours better.

Yeah, I was tempted by these but ultimately not aesthetically something I’m interested in as they lack the “body” of these flares. Looking more for 80 series style flares without the pockets

Checking my front passengers brake pads and rotors as I have some grinding, probably from debris. I always forget to take a picture of my back area.
