Is that rack bronze or black with the sun hitting it? In any case, looks great with that Nori green!

Thank you but it’s actually peridot mica. Golden hour is one of a few times my truck actually pops like this and looks green haha.

Here it is like 5 minutes later

Looks awesome. The whole setup just looks nice.
Know anyone who is manufacturing a like swingout or has blueprints for sale? I'm in the mid-MO area a few times a year if a test subject were needed. 😉 Looks like the back hatch clears as well which would be a plus.
Nice looking GX!

Thanks! I built it as a prototype, but the 10-13 market appears to be too small for me to consider offering this swing out as a product.

The tire is adjustable vertically and horizontally and can be mounted on either side of the swing out so setting it up so the rear glass pops open is pretty easy.

Now I’ve got a full Prado conversion in my garage with a tire carrying rear door so I’ll be taking this off at some point in favor of that set up.

Wanna sell it to me? :)

Haha I’ve thought about the idea of selling it when the time comes, but I’ll probably just end up throwing it in my basement and if the market opens up on the early model GX’s as they all get cheaper, then I’ll have a physical template

What a machine! Drove to CVS via Snow Routes and did non snow routes on the way back. The revos kick ass in the snow. Went through a park that hadn't been plowed. Good stuff.

Yup down here in the south we had a 10+ year snow event back in 2022 and this thing just rips in the snow. I was driving up unplowed hills that I’m sure most in the area felt were insurmountable. It felt unstoppable. I had newish toyo at3 at the time, will be interesting to see how they perform if we get another snow this year as they will be close to their last winter. Looks like a good time 👍🏻

Good? Yes.

But not unstoppable. Ask me how I know...

But honestly, these Falkens are my favorite AT in the snow that I've ever ridden. Much better than the reformulated KO2s of the past decade that turn rock hard in the cold. ATrac can also work real wonders that even a locked diff might not manage. Always happy how well this truck handles snow, even when I'm shoveling out the undercarriage to self-recover.

Yea, pretty sure if I wasn't lifted on almost 33s I probably would have been high centered.

Would like to buy...

Did some light trailing/camping over the weekend. Drove up to Mattole Beach on the Lost Coast and camped for two nights in the wet (again). This time with 100% more Rivian. The Dobinsons IMS suspension I put in the week before really seems to like medium speed impacts - it just shrugs them off. Still getting used to the on-road handling, but really happy with it so far.

Amazing place. I spent Summer Solstice there back in 2017 and have been trying to get back up there ever since. Backpacking the Lost Coast is a bucket list item for sure.

Apache off-road
1/2 inch was all that I needed. Removed the bolt and heated fender liner. No rub with tires. Really made a big visual impact in person.
1/4 in spacers netting a half inch or 1/2 inch spacers netting 3/4-1 inch in lift. Care to share the link to what you purchased?
