GX460 & GXOR B.S. thread

I know theres quite a few examples in the GXOR group. You'd have to so a little welding/fab work to either add a regular 4runner sway bar or anti-rock set up on the rear. You could do the same up front but I feel like that is counter-productive vs keeping KDSS. Apache Offroad sells the weld on tabs for the rear.

IMO I would only ditch KDSS if I was going to a long travel setup and the swaybars became the travel limiter (or if the actuator broke and I didnt want a $7000 repair bill).
The DrKDSS controller is an easy way to fix the fact that KDSS should stay in soft mode until like 20mph not 10mph.

Seeing how it is almost Spring good reminder to remove the KDSS cover and clean the accumulator. Recent post on FB was a good reminder in addition to the posts here

Might have fixed the clunking

Found a lot of things loose but not super loose... and the upper sway bar end link bolt was just plain old loose, could almost turn it by hand

Starting to contemplate KDSS delete. Anyone done it?
Once my system fails I will do a delete and goto a rear only sway bar.

This would be the ideal time to do long travel as well.

I like it for making sure your bars are free to swing. Also good for rough roads going fast with minimal turns.

These are the parts needed?

I have the Dr. KDSS switch - I like it. Definitely makes a difference doing normal speeds on dirt.

That being said, I think you should probably consider a switch panel based on this thread instead of the OEM looking switch. (Advice request: How to wire aux equipment (winch/lights/GMRS) to GX460 battery - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/advice-request-how-to-wire-aux-equipment-winch-lights-gmrs-to-gx460-battery.1376486/). I have mine wired up to one, along with some lights.
Funnily enough, I ended up with a switch panel for that project. Waiting for one more piece of info before updating the thread you linked.

can you share more details of how this is mounted.
No Drill Overhead switch panel bracket | Treaty Oak Offroad No Drill Overhead switch panel bracket - https://share.google/6Tpixo6oyp0TF77Hw

I'm sure you can find cheaper versions (or copies) but Treaty Oak Offroad is good people and this mounts up nicely with no issues from heat or vibration after 3 years. There are some install videos out there but YouTube search sucks now so you will have to do some digging. You basically remove a few panels on the driver's side dash, remove the A-pillar panels, and remove the overhead center panel. Run the switch panel wire up through the dash and along the A-pillar, then fish it across the headliner to the center panel.
IIRC it took me less than 2 hours most of which was carefully removing interior panels because I am a big dumb oaf. You'll want a fish-wire/fish-tape to run things through the firewall and through the headliner.

Any concerns wiring up the A-pillar being that there's an airbag in there?
And like that it becomes something for Tru or Slee.

Most are made in China. I'd avoid Amazon cheapies and grab a multi-pack from your local auto parts store.
