Group Upholstery Workshop — Ocala, FL | Gauging Interest

Wanted to see if there’s enough interest from the 60 series crowd to put together a private group class at Automotive Soft Trim Upholstery School in Ocala, FL.

No affiliation — just a satisfied student who’s taken three courses there and is doing all the trim work on my own rigs. Instruction is hands-on (~98%), thorough, and actually worth the time.

Possible formats:

3 days
— dash repair/covering or door panels
5 days — full seat refoam and recover (more involved, more rewarding)

Have pride of workmanship and learn an accessible trade skill.

If there’s real interest, I’ll investigate pricing. Drop a reply or send me a DM.

Wow! Bad timing for me, I just today picked up my 2 front seats from my 60 today from the upholstery shop. New foam cushions in the front. Hope you get some that are interested.

That’s awesome. Do you have any photos of your seats? Noticeable improvement?

@*jclark just picked them up today & now waiting for a Tuffy center console to arrive before I install. But here’s a couple of pictures, mainly did this to get new/better support foam. Will be putting the Carhartt seat covers back on.

Looks like clean work on the bolsters. I was considering leather on the edges but cloth on the seats myself. I like the look of yours.

HEY!
Count me in. I'm in Tampa but dont mind learning and traveling. I HAVE an upholstery specialist on my team but always nice to learn more and be more involved in the process.
I’m scheduled for a door panels workshop June 15-17. If there's sufficient interest, I ask to open it up to a small group workshop. School has, I believe, 10-12 sewing stations.

Cool idea, I'd jump on that if it were local to me.

We’ve had a guy fly in from Houston, and another came over from the UK.
