Did I do something wrong?
Finally got around to installing these this weekend; started on the drivers side. Got the side labeled 'turn signal' hooked up to what is the turn signal, got the other side wired up to the marker light. (Havent done the passenger side yet.) Pins in the turn signal connector were a bit of a problem, but got it all sorted out.
When I went to test them, both light behave the same as pre-mod; ie. the marker light does not blink. The marker light goes off when I turn the signal on; the (existing) turn signal works.
Is it not blinking because I havent done the other side yet? OR have I done/not done something else?

Did you put 1157's in both plugs?
Yes 1157s in the signal and marker locations, but only drivers side; havent modded the passenger side yet and was wondering if that might be the problem somehow.
There shouldn't be a problem with only one side installed. Did you try switching the wires yet?
Luckily I didn't have a problem when I installed mine. I didn't have enough bulbs when I installed it, I had to run down to the store to get some more. It worked when just the passenger side bulbs were installed.
I suggest you double check your wiring. I think you might have at least one set of wires backwards. Ask me how I know... 
Ah crap, no. Not looking forward to diving into the connector dance again. Specially the blinker. Maybe tomorrow. Will report back of course.

You might be able to check the wires without pulling the connectors apart (you can look at the other side if necessary). See post #336 for some hints on the connectors.

Quick update on the ARB version...
Spent the better part of the day futzing with it to no avail. I need to contact Gary but I am having the same problem that Toyote is...Everything appears to be connected correctly (hard to screw things up really). Both lights blink when the marker lights are NOT turned on. But, when the marker lights are on, no blinky
I tried both sides and same thing. I took the ARB lights out of the equation and no change. I could get the ARB lights to act as blinkers, markers, or both so that part seemed to work ok.
On my harness I connected the portion of the harness that Gary put the "Turn Signal" label on to the upper light (the side marker lamp that in OEM configuration doesn't blink) which seems to be different than what Toyote did. IMO, it shouldn't matter but maybe - On the ARB version though, the ARB pigtail is coming out of the portion of the harness furthest away from the portion marked "Turn Signal". If I were to switch the harness around there is no way the ARB pigtail would realistically reach. See the picture in post #338...the harness arrived with the "Turn Signal" label on the portion of the harness shown on the left side of the picture.
I didn't try switching around the terminal pins. I replaced green with green and white for white so unless I missed where these are supposed to be switched this is connected correctly. And yes, I put 1157s (1157A in my case) in both.
I'm a little bummed but we'll get it figured out...I'm more bummed that I don't have good news and some video of the finished product for everyone. I put all of the OEM stuff back in for now and actually pulled my ARB lights since I had already removed the old connections for them anyway.
Once I hear back from Gary I'll post up. If you guys think swapping the pins and not stay with how the OEM pins were connected is the answer, post up.

Mine look to be wired correctly-- green to green, white to white. Depending on what we hear today, I'll try switching one/both tonite to see if that makes a difference.

Jeff and gang- FIXED IT! Turned out it was a bad bulb (1157) and --drum roll please-- an 1156 instead of an 1157. Doh!
As is usually the case, user error plus a little bad luck. Slow down and look at each 'new' piece carefully. <teaching moment>

That said, I've sent some suggestions to Gary for improvements to the ARB version and I'm waiting to hear back. I'll post up when I hear back from Gary. Basically either the ARB pigtail needs to be lengthened or, preferrably, the pigtail needs to come off the OEM turn signal section of the harness. As made and installed the pigtail just reached down far enough for me to connect it up. If I ever have to replace a bulb in one of the side markers I'm not sure if I'll have enough length to pull the lamp without disconnecting the ARB light. Not a big deal but something easily fixed before the production run starts. In addition to that, the routing of the ARB pigtail on the passenger side was a little difficult because of the slight differences between where there are "gaps" to fish the wire loom through and things get a little full back behind the side lamp with all of that wiring back there. I'd prefer a shorter (6"-8") pigtail coming off the OEM turn signal section vs. a 16" pigtail coming off the marker light. You could go shorter but it would make changing the ARB light functionality more work or more difficult down the road than just swapping out a female connector.
I didn't take any pictures because plenty have been posted up and mine would be no different. I didn't have any problems with getting the pins out of the connectors but I also have aftermarket lights so non-OEM connectors.
I probably spent more time cleaning up the old wiring connections for the ARB lights (Scotch locks) and getting the terminals out of the ARB connectors to reuse them for the ARB pigtail with female ends. What I found works well is to use a terminal pick to press the lock out of the way while pushing the female terminal out from the other end with a small flathead screwdriver. You could skip this step and just plug the female ends in the male ends in the connector coming off your ARB lights but things are pretty tight in there and the risk of the ends touching is pretty high. I did find that the female terminals from ARB pigtail wouldn't lock in the connector. Not a major problem and maybe even a benefit down the road if you want to change stuff up (easier to get them out when they aren't locked in there). But, it did require me to put them in the connector, lock it to the other connector, and then gently push the female connectors onto the male connector from the back side with a small flat head screwdriver. Pushing the female connectors onto the male connectors a couple times prior to inserting them into the ARB connector helped to "right size" the opening in the female connector
I'm sure most have figured out by now that assuming you tapped your ARB lights into the OEM wiring BEFORE the connectors going to the bulb sockets you don't really need the ARB harness version. You can use the stock harness version and your ARB lights will work just like they did before. That said, this is a MUCH cleaner install and for me it allowed me to clean up where I had tied the ARB lights into the OEM harness and I can now, relatively quickly, change how the ARB lights function (running light, blinker, or both). Whether it is worth the price difference (whatever it ends up being) is for you to decide
So, with that, I compiled this short video of the installed harness and the various ARB light functions depending on which two wires from the ARB pigtail you hook up. Sorry for the fairly crappy video and probably even crappier music. I didn't feel like waiting for it to get dark to shoot the video.
For now I have the ARB lights set up as running lights and blinker combination (i.e. the disco mod) but I'm thinking I might switch to them being marker/running lights only instead. Easy enough to do now
Anyway, I'll post up when I hear back from Gary and when he'll start taking orders. I also shared with Gary a connectivity chart for the harness to the ARB lights for him to add to his instructions but I can post up a .pdf file of that for anyone that might need it.

This is a cool little mod, I like! Here's my thing...I installed some OEM Toyota side markers which I wired up as blinkers. Is there a way to make these dual-purpose bulbs too? They use the standard 194 bulb IIRC.

fleaBay for $50 shipped from overseas. There's a lot of OEM side markers on there. Most are clear, every now and then you'll find somebody selling the amber ones.
I imagine that doing this would be the same as how many of us hooked up our ARB lights (originally) so that they functioned as blinkers and marker lights.
Do a search on here for Disco Mod or hooking up ARB lights etc. and I'm sure you'll find the directions. Basically you connect one wire from your lights to the OEM marker wiring and the other to the OEM blinker wiring. I don't recall however which wires you connect up to and you might have to test which wire from your side markers goes to which OEM wire. Once done I don't see any reason why these wouldn't act just like the ARB lights...
Only caution would be if those lights aren't typically used as markers then the heat from the bulb being constantly on (when your lights are on) could cause the lense to melt. When doing the disco mod on the ARB lights the suggestion was to install a cooler (lower wattage) bulb. I've read where some didn't and didn't have any issues so who knows...
