Got this at lowes to put on the doors before I put my new panels on from Steve. ..I read somewhere I don't think you have to with his but wanted to find something that was self adhesive found this at lowes and not very thick but more than enough to put on as many layers as you want. ..just an idea..we shall see the outcome. .

Pablo,
I tried and tried different things but in the end just went with a adhesive for now and later on when I paint will look at this again. ...moving on to the rest of the interior. ..
Waiting on Steve rear wheel hump covers to come in do a test dry fit for him....and finish up interior except for headliner will have to wait for paint time..and well seats too...never ending battle. ..

Finally replacing heat riser gasket I am guessing 40 years of rust got the best of this bolt...Ahhhh the joys.
Guess little heat and soak in PB blaster should get it out

71Greenpig,

On that rear reflector, they are a pain to bolt up, no. Out of the four I have, only one good one. I'm thinking about getting a machine shop to make me some stainless ones. Did you put a new reflector in the chrome ring. Pablo posted about the one from Napa, it fits prefect.

Pablo is a genius Napa worked great.
I actually drilled some holes in my rear :mad::mad:.
I mounted them with a factory gasket behind them and stainless screws. If you look real close my bolts are North and south.
The PO before me had dented the driver side rear corner so it was already hammered so that's why I drilled.. plus with the hole at the bottom maybe it cab drain also and not hold water.
I may regret later on drilling but the reflector and rings cover the eye sore of body filler in the left rear corner.
I would be interested in some stainless ones myself.

Just speaking the truth pablo. ...reflector was awesome. ..
Amazing how something so small seems like a major accomplishment...like putting those on...
So ready to drive the ol girl....

Little more work ....
New pannels installed. ..

Steve made my wheel hump covers...they are awesome don't mind how they fit now , that's not glued or the metal hold down on yet ran out of time....they look really good...will stretch and fit correct soon...just wanted to drive her....
