Last weekend my buddy and I completed lining his Lexus with Al's Liner.

Photos to come from my phone:

Monday the :princess: took the Cruiser in for Smog at a Gold Star Station and she got it passed even though I need a new gas cap. I am set for another 2 years! :bounce:

Then Tuesday I came home from a long and rough day to a fully detailed Cruiser thanks to the :princess: for our 3 yr anniversary. That's right she cleaned up the Mistress for our Anniversary! :p

A couple of tips I would give to those doing the Al's Liner:

Get the Correct Hopper Gun and it is a Breeze!

Don't use the crappy squirt bottle for the sticky primer goop. Get your own squirt bottle and set it to a fine mist!

Get quart size paint mixing containers from HD so you can mix a small batch to get used to things and not lose a $100 batch of liner like we did.

Have a helper to mix the next batch for you and to spray the other side of the truck with primer goop.

Nice on all counts Mark!

Had to laugh on the gas cap - same thing happened to me last year. Fortunately I go to the same smog only station every two years for the beast and they know me pretty well. I even take the rest of the fleet in the family there too even tho they don't need smog only. He grabbed one of his own gas caps, stuck it on and passed me on the promise that I'd replace the cap. I did with a brand new OEM cap from CDAN. Figure the first one lasted 18 years, so this new one should last the rest of my lifetime!

Nice work Mark........wait a second I think the :princess: deserevs all the credit here. Sounds like she did all the work while you played around with some liner.:flipoff2:

Must have been something in the air this week that we are working on the Cruisers. Last Saturday I finally pulled the valve cover and replaced the plug tube seals. While I had the valve cover off I could not resist painting it wrinkle black while keeping the raised Toyota and 24 Valve lettering polished aluminum. Now she looks real purty under the hood. :hillbilly:

No pics means the work wasn't done!

Shoot, all I did was wash my beast after a hard workout on Miller's Jeep trail and have one of the light tabs on my Inti welded back on. Got home from my weekend and notice one of the lights bent way back. Cheap Venezulean weld on the front of the INTI behind the mesh guard had rusted thru...yes rusted, here in SoCal! :whoops: no pics of the damage - OCD kicked in and I had the front portion of the rack off ASAP and off to my local fabricator to weld back on the next day!

Yeah he grabbed some kind of suction cup thingy she said. No way he could fail a pregnant woman in a lifted 4x4! ;)

The gas cap was a fram one I had to buy for her first smog check to pass. So it only lasted 6 years, guess I will replace with OEM this time.

Less than $20 IIRC.

Looking good guys. Glad you're getting your cruisers all fixed up.
I have been finishing up my intercooler setup, redoing some wiring to make it neat and tidy while generally cleaning things up.
Hope to get out and wheel soon. If any of you guys are game, let me know.

Yo fellas. I'm wanting to fix up La8enta by swapping out the BF Goods from Monk Cruiser. Local shop quoted me $150. You guys know anyone that may be able to swap and balance 8 wheels and tires for less??????

A lot of the shops around here do it for $10 a tire but it's probably not worth the time and gas for you.

Tucker tire in Laguna Niguel off Crown Valley right below the Costco - $20/tire when I had new meat (285/75/16 KM2's) mounted and balanced. Based on that your local shop at $150 is pretty decent for 8 tires.

Right on. May have to cruise on by tomorrow.
Gracias.
