Goodbye Sweet 55

It's a Toyota forum, so I'll keep my opinions to myself.

There's so many cool 4x4's out there, to be loyal to something for the sake of being loyal is absolutely absurd to me. It's kind of why I'm moving away from the club. Don't like the barriers. Oh well. I tried.

It is a Toyota club, so it is what it is. Never knew you to hold your tongue. People are "loyal" for different reasons, some like the heritage, quality product etc.

I really don't know what barriers you are referring to? You tried to do what exactly? Is it too many Jeep jokes? I realize they can get quite old and I really have tried to stop but sometimes I slip.

Jeep jokes are Ok, I'm by no means brand loyal to anything. Just saying I tried throwing up another great deal, it just happened to not be a Toyota.

I believe this is by far the best group and club in town, I just wish it wasn't a denominational club, it could be so much more.. Especially with dwindling membership numbers. You don't see the ATV guys having "Honda" clubs, or "Polaris" clubs.

But, anyway, enough with the thread hijack.

It is a great deal. I 100% agree, but honestly, since I've decided to give the 55 a go again, I've shifted gears a bit. The plan now is to work on the 55 when I can and keep running the 100 (and built it up a bit) for the time being. Don't really have the time or $$$ for a third rig.

Oh... and a pick of the first auto I bought with my hard earned money (working construction at $4.25 and hour!). Man!, that was a fun little rig.

Lol - damn, you really do have to much time on your hands

^ I don't know... I've only been in Colorado for a few years now, but from what I've seen, in order to drive something that looks like that you'll need to get tatted up, start talking too loudly and get yourself a flat brimmed Monster Energy hat. ;)

That made me laugh, my son is wondering what is so funny. That is a good picture of the people who normally drive something like that. Mine would have scratches all over it instead of graphics and wouldn't look as purdy. Either way it still wouldn't be an awesome pig. If I was as rich as some of you guys I would buy that 55 that redline is trying to sell. It's just real hard to convince the wife we should spend 70,000 on a vehicle that is older then I am.

Hey, the rest of the family was asleep and I can't stand watching the tube, so.... :D

What!?!? There's rich guys in the group?!?! Who???, my unemployed arse needs to barrow some cash!

You mean the 45? They just sold it on eBay for $50,000+. I hope who ever bought it doesn't stick in a garage somewhere.

Couldn't find a pic of a tattooed guy in a jeep, but I came across this little pic.

Now I will stop with the jeeps on your pig thread.

Funny stuff!!! ........and all denominations of 4wd's are welcome here in my thread.

Ya the 45 I guess I am a little delirious I am not feeling well and neither is my oldest boy. They priced it at 70,000 and then dropped it down to 50,000. Wow. I would bet it sits in the garage for a while if the new owner has a wife.

Ok, I have been sitting back and watching this all unfold. Being a former Jeep guy turned Land Cruiser guy.... all I have to say is....... At least none of us are Land Rover guys!!!:D:D:D
