Correct me if I'm wrong....

With an open differential to determine the gear ratio: Raise both wheels off the ground, mark a tire, mark the driveshaft, rotate the tire one full revolution and count how many rotations the shaft makes.

The number of shaft rotations = the ratio.

Thanks

Jim

No that won't work the spider gears will multiply the rotations of driveshaft
Don't jack truck up mark driveshaft and tire roll truck
So tire makes one revolution while counting drive shaft revolutions I have done this by a string taped to the shaft
3.73 would be roughly 3-3/4 rev 4.10 would be close to 4rev of driveshaft
Just be careful and not get ran over or lose truck down a hill lol
