I've had it! What can I do with this stupid thing? Whenever I go to lean forward or move the fawkin thing locks up and won't let me move! When I go to get out of the truck it won't freakin retract unless I hand feed it all the way! I just sat in traffic for 3 hours and you tend to move around in the seat a lot when parked on the highway with nowhere to go. Needless to say the seatbelt brought me jolting to a stop numerous times as I repositioned my bum during the trip

Sorry for the rant, I'm just really frustrated!

Ary

Oh, and I searched and the guide for the shoulder belt isn't dirty...

Settle down Biotch !! :flipoff2:

I've had this happen on a work truck .. pisses the hell outta me ..

All I can say is it doesn't pay to eat sunflower seeds in your vehicle .. they tend to jam up the seat belt ..

TY

I do have the issue with it not retracting when you get out. It tends to fold and then won't go through the bracket. Haven't had the other problem though.

Ary, i know what you mean bro. Mine doesn't lock up as bad as yours, but when i get out, the damn thing won't spool back up! Fawker! THere was a thread a long time ago about cleaning the little hoop-guide thingy with rubbing alcohol and that seemed to fix the "hand feed" method of spooling.

Pulled mine (seatbelt) all the way out and sprayed silicone lubricant on both sides, adjusted the shoulder belt so that it was as low as possible but still comfortable. It retracts great now. It took about 15 minutes for the silicone spray to dry...and the slight smell was gone in about a day.

One thing I've noticed is that the lock up feature is sensitive to either rough roads or smooth roads if something's out of balance on the truck - such as a tire or drivetrain issue.

Ok, so I've had a couple beers tonight. But could you switch it with the back seat?

So how much do these things go for? I'm guessing they aren't that cheap.

Yeah im pissed off at that seatbelt too. Its only on the driver side and I always have to freaking feed it through with my hands when i want it to retract. I feel your pain!
