Motor mounts tacked in.

How close is too close when it comes to exhaust to the frame. I am using cruiser Matt's engine mounts.

Boy howdy do I appreciate the folks that keep consistent update on their swaps. Thanks.

I continue to find myself 10 hours deep without digital proof of what I am doing. Motors in, fuel lines done, trans plumbed, p/s plumbed, a/c ran (thanks Matt), coolant lines 69% done.

I hotwired to crank it over. Still need to sort out the neutral safety switch I believe.

On the list is to fabricate stainless exhaust and intake. Holley makes it extremely easy to wire. Let's get it on.

Before I dig deep, where do people hotwire the neutral switch?

I am using the SwapTime Muscle Car Module (MCM), which is designed to work with late gen IV and gen V canbus transmissions.

From memory, I left all the toyota wiring in place, but I added a relay that is only activated when the transmission is in park or neutral. That relay is controlled by the MCM.

Since you are using a 4l60e, I believe you will have use its park/neutral safety instead.

This is still on my to do list. I just bypassed the NSS for now but I am running a Holley EFI kit.
Where did you bypass it at?

Where?

I've built exhaust systems with 3/8 clearance in places.
Mine was on a diesel, and I had the down pipe attached to the bellhousing, then used a long braided flex coupling after the downpipe.
This meant the main exhaust didn't move at all, but allowed some movement from engine torque

It'll be less than ideal on the driver's side where it passes by the frame. Doable for sure with the brake lines rerouted.

My original exhaust on my diesel swap was attached to the bell housing but it rattled so much it kept failing.

It's alive!

I chose to wire the fuel pump relay outside the Toyota system but maintained the pump wire.

I have concerns over the gauge of wire, which is now fused through the old ABS system (60a) and the duty cycle that it will endure.

Looking good!

Running rich due to wideband not hooked up/no exhaust/no intake.

This week I'll start intake and exhaust.

Anyone spooled up on Holley Terminator x max? Plan on calling the help line tomorrow.

Well, called Holley. They asked for the ECU for warranty work.
