Ugggggghhhh
Wyoming just enacted a law which allows you to run without a front license plate if: the vehicle which was originally manufactured without a bracket, device or other means to display and secure a front license plate. From looking at pics, it doesn't look like the original front bumper had any factory means to mount a plate. Can anyone confirm?

If so, that plate is coming off ASAP.

That law is going to be a pain in the A$$ to enforce. Either it has a rear plate only or not.

Have fun with that.

Man, that's like posting a picture of a hot chick in a bikini and asking us to look at her sandals! :) Took me a minute to just remember what I was supposed to see.

Exactly! That is the overkill picture of the week!

NorCal and Wyoming are nothing alike. Being from Wyoming originally I say ditch it and go without. The worst they will probably do is tell you to put it on. I'll be at my folks in a few weeks. My dad's friend works for the WY DOT, I'll ask him what he thinks. He's a Cruiser guy too. He has a 72 FJ40.

Just thought of a photoshop opportunity - maybe someone could photoshop hot bikini chick into above image next to the license plate bracket and see how we do with that!

A cop is a cop: doesn't matter what state. You could get the nice guy who tells you to put it on. You could also get the guy who is using it as an excuse to get you pulled over to look for other things. Same as broken tail light, not using a turn signal, etc.

I've seen not using a turn signal morph into a warrant bust while on a ride along with a cop. "That guy looks sketchy. Let's follow him for a bit until he breaks the law." Same ride along used not parking within 18" of a curb to get a drug bust.

And my experience with front license plate wasn't in nor cal or recently. I had the front license plate in the car and showed it to the cop. Still took 30 minutes out of my day while they ran plates, license, etc.

With my cars, I keep them legal not because I have something to hide but because I have better things to do with my day than waiting for a cop to TRY to find something. This is the same reason my FJ55 doesn't have full width axles and 12"+ of tire outside.

I got 99 problems but the b!tch ain't one..."
