Instructions are included; I did mine by myself but a buddy makes it a little easier; no air bag sensor involvement; took me about 90-minutes to remove factory bumper and install T3C; if you don't want the aluminum tube be sure to remove it before you mount the bumper; if you are going to install a winch the T3C needs to come back off...

While looking through a japanese Land Cruiser magazine today, I noticed a couple of LX470 (or at least they looked like LX's) with the above TJM bumper on it. So maybe it is possible to adapt the TJM bumper to the LX.

What are the quality/structural differences between these two bumpers? If any, is it just about looks?
I think the TJM looks better, but that's only my opinion. I have had now both the ARB Sahara bar and now the TJM and the quality is pretty much the same however the lights that they have on the Sahara bar (Fog lights) are not very good and you can't even see if they are on, however the TJM bar uses the original Toyota lights which although aren't the greatest, but at least are an improvement over the lights on the ARB bar.

But that's with my old Mark 1 Mod 0 eyeball, so who knows...

I am not real impressed with my arb bull bar. Bent rt side wing 1st time out. Lft side a month later. Bent in both front corner pannels. Airbag waffles are intact, both wings are noticably bent up behind bull bar tubes. I would not buy one again. 7K lbs in the rocks is too much for the bumper to handle. I can only assume saraha bar is similar. Too much show not enough go.
So for an LX, it's the T1 or T17 only?
Any updates / opinions on the Sahara Vs TJM T3? I went to order the Sahara yesterday and its 6 to 8 weeks for delivery, found out this morning that the T3 is the same so I thought I would look to update this thread now that TJM is back in the states. Is the T3 as durable as the Sahara?
Update: After a good bit of reading it appears that the TJM bumper is good mainly in the looks dept. Im not fond of the separate winch plate which some call "flimsy" and dont think it would work well with my 10k lb winch. That Sahara bumper is more stout, more solid, and looks good. Thoughts?
