Nice, well done. Lets see some pics of the "un lowered 60". Got plans for bigger tires? For what its worth there were 2 barley used BFG AT in 33" (15"rim) on used vic the other day. Would get you 1/2 way there. :)

Liftoff is complete!
Now to take bets on how long the rusty fame will last!
Going to start looking for some 33' AT tires

Went wheeling today out by Loss Creek!

Brought along a friend to show me the ropes and give advice on how to go about obstacles, still have much to learn and knobbier tires to get!

Low range is the funnest thing, you dont need to have gas, clutch, breaks or even steering, just letting it roll along is great!

Wasnt able to get that high up due to my tires, but ill be trying again soon!

see you all at the next meeting!

I got some 33 inch bfg mud terrains laying around. If your interested.

Nice to see you getting out. Wish I had some time to do the same.

There are few tires options on used vic at the moment. A couple might be good deals. Here's what I found:

Something like this might work:

Although these rims make me want to vomit, this could be a really good deal for the tires. Toyo's are really good rubber. Buy the set, sell the rims for the same price, and put the now free rubber on some regular rims.

Or if you want to spend more and go bigger, these would be sweet:

wow thats awesome!

but wouldn't mud terrains suck in the rain?
Thinking more of a AT tire would be best

Still need to sell my ranger to get decent tire funding

The Toyo's are all terrain it looks like. And also the cheapest. Just ditch the ugly rims.

Depends which MT's you have... you can always get them sipped too.

I was running the BFG MT KM2's and they are just fine in the rain/snow.

I used to run the old BFG MT's and they were kind of s*** in the rain.

So, never ever take the south jordan river main, things will break.
Anyone care to help out with some welding?

That frame is in bad shape, looks worse than the other one. recommend buying welder and learn to weld!

Gonna see if I can rent one... anyone know where I can get a pre-made rear frame?

Welding to that rusty piece of poo would be a waste of time, look for a good frame...

John @ Radd use to have a couple decent frames, think they are all gone tho..

Cruiserparts is on the other side of the country, would not be worth it..

Hard to swap out the frame.... YES and no.. we did it with car hoists.. In my drive way I hired a crane truck and had everything disconnected took minutes to pull and place the body ..? I would personally prefer a good rust free truck from the states and drop the motor in, caue you will have lurking body rust... And yes its a pretty big job to do a frame swap.. Sectioning in the rear part of the frame about half ways down is a little lighter of a job.

Got your message the other day Jordan. You could patch your frame up a bit and get a few more years out of it, or swap. If it were me I'd patch it up a but and keep an eye out for a good used one. They pop up from time to time. I know there are a few on the mainland. ATEB comes to mind. I'd post a wanted add on CL and Used vic. if thats the route you plan on taking.

As far as finding the time to help you with yours its going to be tight. Get a piece of tubing bent up and I can find a way to weld it in for you. Is the one from your FJ62 any good? You could take it out and reuse it or better yet..... bring it to a fab shop and use it as a template for them to make a new one.

Todays wonderful update on the frame issue:
Talked to Karnage Fabworks out in Duncan and they are able to chop up a 60 frame and put it onto the HJ60, Raddcruisers might have a 61 frame that might fit right in, we'll know more info as the week progresses...

Only problem will be on how ill be getting the cruiser up to duncan... hopefully she can drive without shocks...

If anyone knows anyone with a good 60 series frame, I'd love to get to know them...
