I'm so jealous of you guys that are getting this snow. I grew up in Wisconsin and miss seeing the snow fall now that I'm in NC.

Minor update. I had some sudden grinding/screeching coming from my back brakes. I knew the problem since I had the same thing happen on my 4runner. E-brake pad had come loose. Not sure what spring initially came off since I had to pry the rotor off. Everything back together but need to adjust some more since I am still getting some rubbing. Not a big fan of how the e-brake works.

Will have some more interesting updates in a month or so thanks to Gamiviti and hopefully Goodridge.

Did your Coopers measure out to mfg spec @ 34.5?

Gamiviti Rack Installed.

I will have better pictures and a full write up on the install when I get a chance. Here are some crappy cell phone pictures for now:

Follow up on Gamiviti install.

First off another great company to work with. Tim was helpful in determining what I needed, communication was great, shipping was quick and quality is excellent. The lack of install instructions added a bit of time to the install but in talking with Tim he is in the process of getting that updated on his website. Tim did send me an email with instructions after I asked which was helpful but I had to go back and redo a few things.

Notes on install:
- It takes a bit of time to get everything adjusted correctly. I ended up having to go back and forth several times to get it setup correctly (probably still need a bit more adjustment). The adjustment is in the height of the rack front to rear - the rack slopes down front to back. I ended up using the 2nd from top adjustment hole in the front and the 2nd from the bottom in the rear. No bolt used in the middle.

- The mounting holes that don't have the factory rubber mat need bonded washers underneath (Per Tim's suggestion).

- RTV needs to be used on the bolts. I ended up using some weatherstripping adhesive/sealant I had lying around after redoing my real door seal. It will leak without this & possible the lack of washers - ask me how I know.

- Security. Initially I thought I should use some security bolts for the bolts that attach the rack to the towers but those bolts were such a PIA to get on that it would take a while to get them off. I may go back and put some on the outer bolts.

- Flip-ability: I was hoping I could easily flip the rack. I intend to use it basket-style so I have the ability to transport 4x8 lumber easily BUT all trips will have the rails down to fit my cargo box and other things as well as the ability to use the fairing. It seems like the accessibility of the bolts will make this a bit of a chore but I will hold judgement until I do it a few times.

Pictures showing various stages of install. I wasn't able to get pictures of the sealant and the washers going it b/c a storm came in and I had to get everything buttoned up quickly. Question welcomed.

I used plastic door trim tools to pop off the factory covers

More Pictures - Gamiviti Rack

Bottom part of tower installed. I used the 2nd from the top of the 4 middle bolt holes for the front

This was from my initial install which was too high in the rear.

Bonded washers and sealant. I used the sealant on the bottom of the washers and the bolts

Last picture I got before the rain. I cleaned the bolt area and out the bonded washers down with the sealant on the bottom which helped keep them located to the holes.

I'll get some better pictures of the installed rack up when I get some time (which may be awhile). Also have a family trip coming up and possibly another Rausch creek visit. I have the following activities planned before I head out:

- Install SS brake lines and flush system
- Take out 80 rear springs and install AHC springs with spacers (ride is too rough unless I am fully loaded)
- Quick fists and hi-lift mount on rack
- May increase my sensor lift a bit
- Alignment when all is done.
- I am now getting some rubbing at full lock and some on my UCA's may have to do with the alignment.

Had a busy weekend working on the truck. I set out to repack the front bearings and install my new SS brake lines/flush system - I managed to get both done. The repack went smoothly but ran into the typical problems with the brakes - seized nuts on the hard lines and corroded bleeder screws (I had new ones in my cart when I ordered my parts not sure how I ended up without them).

Anyways here are a few pictures unfortunately not many - I was pressed for time. I will do a full review on the Goodridge SS brake line install shortly but for now here are the few pics I have:

With a trip coming up I also mounted my Yakima luggage box and Hi Lift on my Gamiviti rack. Night and day difference between doing this with the stock LX rack. The Gamiviti is so sweet. Hi lift brackets bolted right up. Everything is nice and secure - can't say enough good things about Gamiviti.

Love the rack. I just got an email from Gamiviti that mine is finished.

Do you happen to have a parts list of the parts you needed to repack the front bearings?

I've been searching for a while but cant seem to find a good write up on how to repack the bearings without replacing them.
