Great story.

Could we help in some way? Maybe take up a donation to send to Pastor Livingston to help the single mom pay for some oil changes? Maybe a gift certificate to Ralph Hayes Toyota?

Count me in for $20 if we do.

YES!!!! Damn right, that's what it's all about!!! That's so awesome, and if she/we take good care of that thing, then she'll be able to drive it for the next 50 yrs. I agree about helping her w/ any maint. or anything else we can do for her. Too bad we don't have diesels in this country though so she wouldn't have to spend so much on fuel. Still a good thing going here and I think it's a great oppurtunity for the club to reach out as well. I'll certainly help w/ what I can!

she is going to need a damn gas card! hehehe

serious though, that's an awesome idea to donate time to keep it maintained for her. That would be another good way to get the upstate name out onto the news.

great idea

Get the paper to do a human interest story on the club and the clean up and this. Great idea.

The Wheels are in Motion

I have contacted our sponsor for any contribution they can make. So, the rest is up to us:

1. At the monthly meeting tomorrow night, we will take any contributions towards a gift certificate or pledges of help.

2. I will move that we make this hard working mom the first honorary member, which will get her the 25% discount at Ralph Hayes.

3. Once we have maximized our contributions, I will ask Reverend Livingston how we should present our gift.

4. If Rev. Livingston suggests that we present it during services, I will go to church and present it (this may be a sign of the apocalypse).

You know, I really think this is what the club is all about. This hard-working mom has really received a gift that will help her protect her kids and last. We are in a unique position to help her and show others that MPG is not everything, it's an insurance policy, peace of mind, and knowing that no matter what, you will get there!

So, bring your checkbooks!

This in my mind is exactly what this club is all about. I know I've personally gotten a lot of help, advice and fun out of it...

I'll donate the money to cover supplies for two oil changes a year if someone will donate the time to do them since I'm not local.

This is an easy way to make a difference in someones life, and that means something... it means everything, one life at a time.

Uc Aa80

I'll help. Money and time.
Maybe after we give her a membership we can schedule a mini-HAMOM for diagnostics, then a full-scale HAMOM in the spring to do whatever fixing (there's sure to be some, full blown PM at least) is in order. Then afterwards a bi-annual tuneup/service. Sort of like our AAH. Upstate Cruisers Adopt-An-80.

I will donate my HAMOM skills...I know my way around 80s pretty well :).

Oh, and I can roll in with the Cado where ever we do the work to get a little shock value...hehe

Hello marshall,
My name is Lacandra Sease. I have a 1994 Landcruiser that i was blessed with by my church God's Creation Ministry in Easley, SC. I ve had the landcruiser since October of 2007. I talked with someone by the name of Alex, of Easley but somehow has lost his cell number. The reason why i am emailing you is because i can't afford the gas in the landcruiser and i'm looking to buy a smaller car with good gas mileage and i am wanting to sell it. It is in Good condition and i was wanting to know if u knew where if sell it and get top dollar for it.
It has lockers. It's 4WD and has a/c,pwr windows, pwr door locks, tilt wheel, cruise control, am/fm radio, cassette, multi compact disc, premium sound, leather, 3rd seat, sunroof, running boards, towing pkg, and alloy wheels. It also has tv's in the headrest, and a vcr. As far as the maintenence on it i have all the papers that the previous owner had and i've only had to put brakes on it and a couple of oil changes.
kelly blue book excellent rating is $9700. I consider my vehicle to be in good condition. That listing is $7900. I will accept the closest bid to good condition.

You can reach me by email at candy.sease@godscreationministry.com or contact me at 864-399-4725.
