Blair ... is there a process for removing it from the underside for the non-salt season or is it just there until it wears away over time. Can you remove an area of it with brake cleaner? Maybe Simple Green?

Trying to decide between this and a unlimited car wash pass, but not sure the wash is a good idea with the snorkel.

It’s supoosed to stay on regardless of the season, haven’t been asked or thought of removing. I blasted my frame pretty good with a pressure washer Friday on my way home so I think something stronger than simple green. Some brake clean maybe, but it’s not gonna cut right through it.

It lasts for up to a year, is easy to remove, and inexpensive and easy to reapply.
PFC Undercoating

But I can’t find any information on how to remove it easily...

Looking forward to hearing long term reviews. Thanks for stepping up and trying something new to us.

They say it is lanolin based, so I’m guessing that heat is a factor - something like a Hotsy with a mild detergent.

So how is this looking as the winter progresses? One big storm to go!

Mine has been holding up pretty good. I must admit when I did mine I did not have the proper tip on the spray gun as I was the only one in the shop that day, and did not realize there was a different tip for spraying outside the frame. Thus I have only a very thin coating. That said, all of the areas that I painted before hand are all still black with no surface rust poking through.

We’ve done quite a few plow trucks and a few other trucks and all seems to be holding up well. I’d say depending on useage application 1-2 years would greatly increase lifespan. I still need to bring my rig back in and do a bunch of maintenance and fix a pesky water leak, but I’m sure you guys all know the story about the shoe maker...

We still do, and its held up pretty darn good. Out of all the spots i spray painted first very minimal surface rust has re-appeared. I'm due for another coating which I plan to do in the next couple weeks. Considering how many times I've powerwashed the frame and drug it over rocks you can still feel a little bit of the coating. It does seem to harden up a touch and form a bit of a "shell" so to speak, so you could touch it and not have it come off on your hand, but if you drug your fingernail on it you would know it was there. Overall, I'm quite happy and will do it again.
