Howdy! I thought it was a great idea, and it was a real hit for a large family-style camping group such as we had. But, I guess nobody wanted to give you any CRAP about it!! John

Here is all the picture I took:whoops:

WTF Phil, you took great pictures at Moab. Then again, you had my fantastic driving skills to document then.:lol:

How can I web wheel without the photographic evidence?

The cleanup went well, the sierra club was there and had more people than us!:mad: Also there was little trash!:D They had the Tonto/Payson ranger district with them , so met some new rangers, one who we need to do more biz with. Between the two groups we found plenty of trash to fill the ranger's trucks and made the place very clean, good job!

The Trail Team outdid themselves, made a great dinner, along with Brittan's cobbler, hit the spot. They also had great swag for everyone, thanks for the killer job!

On the way out we stopped at the Fossil Creek Creamery for some fudge. They were happy to hear why we were there and offered to sponsor next years cleanup with some of their yummy stuff!

A couple of shotts of the creek near camp and HJ60's buddy.

I would of taken more pictures but I was driving the Toyota trails team Tacoma on the trail.:steer:

On Sunday a few of us hooked up with the team in Payson and played on the trail. The team trucks were the Gibson FJ and the S/C Tacoma that Phil drove all day. Some pix, is it hung up again?:hillbilly:

The team guys are great fun to wheel with and I always learn something from the experience, was surprised more didn't take the opportunity. But we had a great time, with the small group it allowed us to explore more lines, screw around and have a blast. So :flipoff2: to the :princess: who didn't make it!:D

Hey, you don't want to hear my sob stories - and I'm not burdening you with them:flipoff2:! (I assume you mean me since there is only one :princess:, and not :princess::princess::princess:, or do I flatter myself?:hillbilly:)

There were only 4 of us with the Trail Team, the team had 5 guys. I'm sure Kevin was referring to anyone who didn't take advantage.

Not directly aimed at you, but if guilty...

I had a great chat with some of the Sierra Club guys. Helped them pick up some messy campsites. I usually avoid their kind. They were amazed to see some of the "bad" people with heavy off-road trucks helping them out. They were cleaning out campfire sites, while we were climbing up and down near-vertical slopes looking for trash. In my small area, I saw us taking out 100 lbs of litter to their 10, and we carried our trash up slopes that they wouldn't climb.
I was only in that area, but I saw CSC and the Trail Team carrying most of the load. Sierra Club people cleaned up the level ground in camping areas, while CSC and the Trail Team did the climbing up and down the cliffs. We covered the cliff faces and steep slopes. I was proud to see that we found a lot of trash in places where the Sierra Club feared to tred. Most of the trash was on the steep slopes where they would not go. They can sit all day sifting out campfire debris. That is not litter control. I am proud to be counted with those who do not accept posers or slackers. CSC and our Trail Team made a real effort that day, the envionmentalists did not.
When the work was done, they had cold sandwiches. We had some great burgers on the grill. And cold beer. To each as they deserve. We earned our dinner!

IMO, anyone who volunteers their time to pick up other people's trash deserves credit. It doesn't matter how big, small or effective the effort. I was glad to see others helping out regardless of their ilk. I only regret I have is that the forest service did not better organize that weekend, we had two groups working the same small area. Much more could have been accomplished if one of us would have been directed to another area.

did i hear right, only 4 csc people? thats pathetic. i was fully wanting to be there but was forced by the wife to attend her cousins wedding. then i wanted to run out for the nite and sunday but the important stuff would have been over.

cant tell by the pic, what is HJ60's friend?
