Wanted .... some 1FZ-FE EGR parts ....
Egr module and EGR valve.
Thanks

Rice

Vacuum Modulator is pretty cheap new IIRC but egr is discontinued...... think steve found a NOS on ebay though. Might have an old one to test with.

Looks like a "deal" for 1 million. Liability insurance should cost that much each year.

Hmm. Only shopped one place but vacuum mod was $85. Guessing there is a part out truck that might have them.

@Rice unless you know for certain otherwise I would replace the VSV first. I replaced both EGR module and valve and still have the CEL which leaves the VSV the only thing I haven't changed. If only I would have heeded @jfz80 advice and done the VSV first:bang:

Gotcha. My 'memory' was it was much cheaper.

Ill drop an egr on your porch in the next hour

I believe my advice was resistor and relax ;)

VSV was swapped .... only the temp sensor, mod, and EGR are holdovers from the last motor. That's not to say VSV #2 isn't bad but since the old engine intake is sitting in the garage it would be no trouble to test the VSV from the old motor and see if it's healthy (This is to address an EGR code I was getting with the old motor and the new)

Gotcha, if I'm remembering correctly it's not the temp sensor VSV but the other one. The one directly under the intake.

Resistorance is futile... install the resistor, loop the vac lines on themselves, and plop a blockoff plate in (if its stuck open or partially open, if its closed, dont worry with the plate). call it a day. no sense in throwing new parts at something that will get yanked out in "insert semi monthly time span joke here"

were you able to look at your harness while the engine was out for any worn insulation? I've got some thermal tape you can use if you need it.

Was strongly considered. Current plan is to install the MAP-ECU engine management system that will be used with the turbo and run the engine N/A while the MAP-ECU is in learn mode. Objective is to use the N/A engine to get a base map and then install the turbo. For that I wanted to have an engine that wasn't trying to throw codes.
