Lol..first thing I thought of was that CB needs this and to stock with beer!
Yeah, but he'd turn the dollar/coin part on and make us pay for it :)

This is gonna come back to CB’s Preservation Garage for thirst quenching beverages

Looking through the FSM, 1:50 to 1:500 beers *could* be free.

Let me know if anyone has a lead on some 100 series (non AHC) bolt on sliders. I wanted to get some before October as I might go to a wheeling event up in Amarillo. I had narrowed it down to BIOR, White Knuckle and Slee. BIOR is 6 months out and that wouldn't even put me with much time before K2. Slee is about 6 weeks out, but pricey. No response from White Knuckle on lead time. I get over to Austin periodically, so no issue of me picking them up.

Been thinking about buying some white knuckles for my 60. Is there a down side to them being bolt on?
I bolted slee step sliders to a 100 this spring. They were bulletproof. No downside that I perceive, specifically regarding them being bolt on.

I ordered the White Knuckles for my 60 a couple of weeks ago, I remember reading a while back that when sliders are welded to a 60 frame, it weakens the frame.

Interesting, I was thinking welding them on would be stronger. I like the idea of the bolt on as I can install myself of course. Sounds like a few trusted votes for while knuckle. I know one other person that has been happy with them. Sounds like the route I'll be going.

For Sale--Original Spare from 1978 FJ40, original tire included.

Hey all, long time listener, first time caller. I've been in ATX area for a few months from up north, I've been informed I have too much stuff in the garage. This wheel was on when I bought my 40, and has lived in my garage ever since I put a working spare on. I didn't want to just toss the original tire and was taking my time on what to do with it. I had plans to keep the wheel and complete a set of 15" OEM, but I'm going to go with 16" OEM instead. I know you can still buy a 15" wheel, and this one needs a little love to clean up if you are going to use it, but maybe a collector wants to whole setup for wall art or something. $100 for cool factor since it has the 43 year old tire? Open to offers, steel looks in good shape. Located in Cedar Park, PM if interested.

I just installed my White Knuckle Offroad sliders. I ordered them on May 12th and received them on July 27th. They work with AHC or Non-AHC. I have traditional suspension but all the AHC components are still attached to the frame rail.

Same here...I think I'm about to pull the trigger on some new ones though with the proceeds from my 80 sale.
Bought new White Knuckle sliders today..bare metal. Trying to decide if I should paint them white to match the white ARB bumper on the 100.

my .02 - Pick a color you can rattle can and touch up as they do their job.

I love my white knuckle sliders. They've certainly withstood some use. I rattlecan mine with the truck bed rusoleum when they scratch.
