I just got rid of 3 of them a week or so ago, let me see if I can find one for you.
Daisy

Daisy

Are you kidding? I had my custom kit ordered when you posted our call signs! It includes: 1 hat (mesh for the summer/woolly ear flaps for the winter), custom plate, pocket protector, and battery tester! If you order now, you'll recieve a small screwdriver set!

What sort of engine would be in that RV?

S-O-R Swing Out Tire System

Specter Off-Road is now offering a new Swing Out Tire System made exclusively for Specter by Wilderness Accessories. This exciting new product is a extreme duty tire carrier, and can be expanded to carry a cooler, two jerry cans, axe and shovel and a Hi-Lift jack. The system, is engineered from precision components that are jig fit as a matched set. The main support for this swing out carrier is the rear bumper. The bumper is made from 2-inch x 4-inch steel tube with a 3/16 inch wall thickness. The ends are tapered for maximum departure angle. The bumper is attached to the rear frame crossmember by four 1/4 inch mounting plates each with two 7/16 inch grade 5 mounting bolts. This heavy duty bumper has a fully welded class 2 receiver that extends thru the bumper to it's own mounting plate that bolts to the rear frame rail also. The 1 1/4 inch diameter pivot pin extends top to bottom in the bumper and is internally welded for strength. The pivot has a grease zerk for lubrication and replaceable bushings for long term maintenance.
The Swing Out framework has provisions to mount a Hi-Lift jack vertically behind the spare tire. The Swing Out framework will support up to a 35 inch diameter tire. Using the Cooler Carrier attachment limits spare tire width to 12.50. This bumper will partially obscure the tail lights on vehicles from 1958 to 9/73 with original round tail lights. Optional Tail Light Brackets mount to the Pre-Runner Rear Bumper and allow you to mount optional auxiliary tail lights (see #262-802 for photo) for an unobstructed tail light assembly. This S-O-R Swing Out Tire System and all the accessories come in semi gloss black powder coated finish. Includes mounting hardware and requires drilling to install. If you have a 40 series between 1964-1974 with the hard top installed and plan on using Jerry Can Carriers, you need #255-42-RHNG right side hinged can carrier. This allows the tire carrier to open all the way up and allow the lift-up door to open.

Another piece of equipment on the 74 that needs a new home! Specter's asking $1065.00 the for the tire carrier,it also has a left hand jerry can holder for an additional $121.00. I'm asking $400.00. No shipping. Delivery within a reasonable distance.

I'll take that $20 deal.

I'll PM you. Ash and me are planning to head out to the wild blue (hopefully dirty) yonder tomorrow, but I should be around tomorrow afternoon and until Friday around noon.

Done, glad it's going to a good home. What part of the wild (dirty) blue yonder are you heading to? Product's with me right now, and I have a 930 DDS appointment near Uptown if you wanna snag it then(ish).

Otherwise I'm meeting my lil sis in town for dinner tomorrow around 5p, and the next day I might be going to a meeting in town that starts at one.

If you don't still have my numbers Shawn is working tomorrow, and has permission to give 'em to ya. I think I've still got yours in my old phone...

1980 fj40 for sale

Hello fellow Cruiser-Lovers,
I am heartbroken to announce my need to sell my 1980 fj40. She is a beauty and I hate the fact I have to part with her. A little information about her: frame-off done in 2003, galvanized frame, 3-inch lift, power steering, 4 speed, swinging tire mount and full ambulance doors. Has heater but no a/c or radio. Has both a new 2f motor and transmission (done in restoration) with just over 6100 miles.

I'm not a member of High Desert Cruisers though I've wanted to join for some time. Have met a few members and have received good response to my cruiser. Hate the "nice jeep" comments people throw out at times.

Was asking $17,000 or best offer on Craigslist, but maybe that was a bit ambitious. Any reasonable offer considered.

Jimmy

Was this a Canadian rig, or is just the top from Canada? I'm not interested in buying it, just curious. Great looking rig!

Cheers,

Josh

I talked to him and I am pretty sure it is a Canadian rig. IIRC he said it was in kilometers as the major speed instead of mph.
