For Sale: 1985 Toyota 4runner 4x4 SR5 (First Gen) straight axle
I’ve decide to sell my 4runner reluctantly. Reason for sale, I have other projects that need addressing and I’m spread thin on maintaining my rigs. I’m selling it for 12k if it doesn’t bring that then I’ll strip it of bumpers, tires /wheels and arb air system. I’d rather just sell it as is though; I have well into 16k in it with motor work. The body has 302k on it; motor has around 1k on it. It’s a 22re as well, 5 speed W56 transmission. Stock transfer case and v6 third in the front diff. I'm the 3rd owner but really 2nd other guy just bought to sell it and have maintenance records from 1985 on it and purchase agreement. It has a 3 inch lift on it with 32 inch tires with 4:10 gears. Gets good mpg and runs 65mph nicely, it’s my daily if that tells you anything. I just rebuilt the entire front axle as well with new bearings, races, seals, etc.

Interesting... this may be an indication of the value ceiling for these. Its been for sale locally for quite a while and now it’s on Expo also.
 
WANTED:

16 gauge reloading setup. I would like to get this for my son for Christmas.

Will buy with cash, or make a trade. I have a 120 round bandoleer of some very hard to come by M855A1 EPR ammo to trade. This is headstamped WMA 16. I have been told that this is the most sought after ammo for Army competition shooting.

But, the 3B is especially cool, because it had an overhead intake valve, with an exhaust valve on the side of the block. Willys did this (called an 'F-Head') so they could get a larger intake valve and a large exhaust valve, unlike the flathead 'L' engines before, where the valves were on the side of the block. I totally agree, I've always had a soft spot for the 3B high hood profile.
I have a TBI 4.3 Chevy that'd be perfect in that thing, but it'd really be a shame to do that to one so clean. That thing is too much of a sweety for the likes of me. @Smokejumper85 should work his magic on it!
Anyway, like @pappy says, last thing I need is another project.. I have more questionably operational rigs than operational rigs at the moment.

Now, I just have to convince everyone around me that I'll get that engine put back together in no time, and that it is practical transportation. Gotta ditch the Nissan in the time being.

I might be able to use the visor thing, let me look at mine and see if I can make it work.

That's pretty sweet! That guy imports a lot of JDM vans. I wonder if that is from Japan or somewhere else? It's so low, the 4x would be pretty limited.
 
I had a compleye 1fz from a 95 80 series that I just finished dissasembling. I have most all the parts from the stripped block to smaller pieces on the intake. I don't have everything listed, so if you don't see it, ask.
