I came across a really clean '76 55 last week for $500 - it didn't have the engine/tranny but the rest was complete. It had a clean title and the best interior I've ever seen in a piggy (I was going to buy it - but I've got one to many Cruisers right now). You'd need to figure out a way to get it (Austin, TX) - but I can get you in touch with the seller if you ping me off-line.

1972 Fj55

I have a good 72 Iron Pig that I have to sell due to my other toy getting stolen.
It has a lot of upgrades and the best part of all it's rust free. It has a 86 2F engine in it disk brakes. Too Much to list.
I live in Chico and I know it will have no problem driving to Southern CALI.

85 FJ60 in Santa Criz, California. $4500, 185K runs great and very reliable, Stock with 2F and 4spd. Only mods/adds are Wilderness full length roof rack, FJ62 rear seat back with head rests, rear shoulder belts. Alpine CD/stereo. BFG 31x10.5 AT's, Inside very clean.
