Hey if you drive that to California they will pay you a mint for it.

hmmm....truck hasnt been wheeled but has been in 4x4 at times? only 5 years of the trucks history is know. Maybe a PO has wheeled it. I can also see some rust on paint surface. And without pics of the lower rockers with focus placed on the rear rockers under the rear doors how can we see if it doesnt have any cancer? Some other cancer sites include the rain gutters, lower A pillars, rear 1/4's, lower doors, rear tailgate lower edges, bottom of lower fenders, interior floors next to doors, body mount support brackets, and a few other places. That wagon looks extremely ruff for the price. Im thinking more like 800 bucks. I have owned a number of 55's in the PNW. Dont feel bad though... I spoke with a fellow in CO that had a pig for 10,000 dollars in worst shape then this one. He asked me to give him a fair price.. I did and we havent heard back from him since. But really... the last three pigs I bought in the PNW were in better shape then this one and I paid well under 1K for them. The last being and 1977 with zero rust and a siezed engine.

77 FJ 40 Diesel Conversion For Sale - Kingston Ontario Canada

Hello

I think that it is best to describe the truck ia by telling the story about how it came to be. This truck started its life in California as an FJ40 (2F, 4 speed, and soft-top). It was driven from California to New Brunswick, Canada where it was abandoned. When I came across this truck (owned by a friend) it was not completely assembled; however, it had the best sheet metal that I had ever seen on a Land Cruiser. I was fortunate enough to acquire this truck and assembled the truck as follows:

All of the body work is factory original 1977 FJ40 Land Cruiser. The body has been repainted; however, it has never been restored. Therefore, what you see is what you get. No surprises. According to the odometer, the mileage on the body is about 76 000 miles. (Could be 176 k, there is no way to be sure).

Because I wanted a Diesel LC, I found a recently wrecked 1983 BJ60 (3B 3.4 L, 5 speed and split case with approx 131 k). These parts swapped into the 77 without any modification of the mounts, frame, or other components. Because it was my intention to turbo charge the engine, I also installed Geoff Walsh high-nickel cylinder head.

From the front:

Bumper/bull guard – ARB

Winch – Mile Marker 12500 lb hydraulic

Front shackle-reversal kit – Man-a-Fre

Two batteries (12 volt system) – both less than 1 year old (CTC Eliminator)

Snorkel

Custom roll cage (full family cage)

Comes with soft-top, soft doors, bikini top, and older OE tailgate (needs some work)

Park brake conversion kit – Man-a-Fre

Spring-over-axle conversion for rear suspension

33 x 12.5 Interco Trxus tires on American Racing wheels. This includes the spare, and they have less than 5000 km on them.

The interior is OE and complete except for the headliner and floor mat.

All seats, including the rear jump seats, have been reupholstered with marine vinyl in the original appearance pattern and piping.

I am asking $13 800 CDN

I will try to attach pictures ...

I am located in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, which is about 2 hours north of Syracuse NY.

I hope that this information helps. I am motivated to sell the truck, and I would be happy to answer any questions or consider any offers. Please email me at shumphrey01@sympatico.ca or adsum30@hotmail.com.

Thanks

Mike

1996 FJ80 Black 140,000 miles Knoxville, TN

For sale- 1996 Landcruiser Black w/beige laether. CD, towing, third seat, loaded. I have the original window sticker and all documentation. This was a one owner (my wifes boss) vehicle until I purchased it about three months ago. I installed new plugs, wires and rotor cap/button when I bought it. It will need tires in the near future, not bald but if I was keeping it I would buy tires in the next 6-8 months.

The vehicle has NEVER been off road and is clean and rust free. I would consider it in very good condition and shows very little wear and tear. I would have the vehicle prof. detailed for buyer.

I really want to like it, but it is just to large for my needs. I have title in hand and would like to move it sooner than later. I suspect it will bring $10,500 to $11,000, but of course the market will decide. Let me know if you would like pictures. I can be reached at 865-660-5641 or email at mattstegall1 at hotmail dot com.

I feel bad my first post is to sell something. I have lurked on these forums the last few months and found a ton of useful info (checking to make sure I had a good headgasket and refinishing my wheelcenters). Big thanks to everyone here for all the info.

Matt

Lockers? Do you have a price in mind or are you basically taking bids?

I assume if it had lockers there would be switch? No lockers would be my assumption. If I advertise it locally I will ask some stupid high number like $13,900 and be willing to negotiate, but I would rather sell it to an informed party and take less money, but sell it quick and less headache for me.

One down, and the 80 is next.....

Just sold the Excursion on eBay (hallelujah!) , and it was a little bit of a PITA.....Anyway, my 97 FZJ80 is next, but I'd like to sell this one to someone who appreciates what it is, not just someone who will drive it to the mall.

1997 FZJ80, white/tan, 96,000 miles, factory lockers, 3rd seat, no roof rack to rust out, moonroof, excellent condition - AKAIK, needs nothing but a new owner.

A-S-K-I-N-G $16,500, but don't be afraid to make me an offer! I'll do my best to work a deal! Truck is in Jackson, Mississippi, and I'll be glad to send you whatever photos you want.

Thanks,

dnp

How long have you owned the cruiser? I don't want to lead you on, but I am checking on shipping prices before I commit to anything. It's a long way to New Mexico. Anyone have any leads on a good auto transport company?

I haven't really been looking. I am just considered selling my 99 for some debt reduction and buying something a little more abusable. It's hard going off road on the trails around here and hearing mesquite bushes sign the finish. I put in a request for a shipping quote, but it is a long shot that I would do it. I saw another 90 that a Toyota dealer owned in about the same condition here, he wanted 6500 for it, but he was obviously not that interested in selling.

$1100-1200 for shipping. I guess I'll look closer to home.

Greetings from Westbrook
