Ill say it one more time John, post less in tech, and read more in tech, or post your stuff in chit chat, where it doesnt have to be technically correct.

My OME shocks, which are less than 1-year old, worked fairly well for the first 5-7.5K. Now they are really harsh around town on the smaller expansion cracks, potholes, etc. and not near enough dampening for larger obstacles (off-road or on-road). So now I have the worst of both!

If Shotts wants to post his experiences with things he's tried on his vehicle, whether he knows they've been done before or not, I fully support that.

Here in the US....you bring up Christo....uhm....he wasn't N74L-ing 100's until after I installed the first set. So think what you wish...but I was doing things (mods) on 100's before even him.

The facts are that on a 100, the statements I made about travel, rubbing, blah blah are correct and credible. It's not rocket science to see this in the field.
Putting on a smaller diameter shock might reduce or eliminate the sway bar hitting the shock, but it doesn't address other issues such as frame and bumper rubbing.
All I am saying to the readers of this thread is....BEFORE you go to the trouble of body lifts and shocks we don't even know about here in the US...consider the limitations I've encountered with the N74L. All of us on the trail last weekend agreed that I was at the limit on the travel scale unless you make more changes to your truck.
If a better solution exists (like ATS says), it will be an extremely small difference in the articulation dept. And yes...I hope Slee comes back from Moab with an even better solution. We all benefit from that, just like the ones who have followed this lead on the N74L.
Oh...and in the picture below....I don't care WHAT FORCE pushes the axle down or whether or not it's just gravity. All I care about....IT WORKS WAY BETTER THAN 100 SHOCKS....which was the reason this thread began.

I think you will find no one says the shock doesnt work differently to the OEM John, they just dont believe what you say, because even you dont know what your saying, thats why your threads should go to chit chat, and you should become a better listener, so you can learn how to fix some of the issues you come across, rather than say it wont work.
Your glass neeeds to be half full, not half empty, when you get to this stage, so you dont stop now, but your attitude wont allow you to learn any more, which is the sad part for you.
