In my case every inch of height loss is a plus. If the motor was raised one inch that would be one inch I could raise the bump stops. That's a lot of work at this point, but Rush can do it easily. The transmission cover would need tweaking with my H55, not sure about Rush's tranny.

Off Topic....I set my motor inclined 4 degrees and ran into a vibration problem with the rear u-joints not being parallel with the pumpkin. Technically I should have tilted the pumpkin down 4 degrees. I think I would just leave my motor flat next time. Flat motor with a low profile intake would help with the oil pan, especially if you're staying SUA.

I was just looking at the HP options for the 1UZ, apparently just air and headers and a bit of mapping can achieve about 25+ foot pounds of torque on a 1UZ at 3000rpm, not similar for the LS?

That was what I was thinking you were thinking. Being able to set the engine a little higher in the bay could possibly prevent from having to change oil pans, and also help tuck the t-case up higher.

This is the only reason I’m posting.

As you say engine placement is a huge deal at this point in the game and I would have moved mine up an inch as well with hindsight. Rush lives in AZ and has access to speed shops that have chassis dynos and on staff LS engine tuners, a couple hundred bucks at one of these shops and a stock LS with a low pro intake will run circles around a modified LS with one of those send us your computer and we will give you a one tune fits all services that most do when they do an LS swap. A drivability tune that makes good HP numbers can really only be done one way and is probably one of the most over looked things in the LS swap world.

Belts....4060930 6pk2360 and 4040377 4pk0960 Goodyear sold out to Continental and quit making the nice Gatorback belts.

Continental and quit making the nice Gatorback belts.
Did they stop making the elite belts??
