Thanks for all the advice it’s great info it seems like a lot to under take but have many wrenching friends and tuner buddy’s we should be able to get it done. Dose anyone know if I need to change out the total intake manifold to change to a drive by wire and since my donor truck has a throttle cable will the same ECU and harness work? My main goal with this build is a good all around driver to tow a smaller camper and to see as many cool places it will take us no crazy rock crawling but just and dependable rig

Man this is nice. I went and bought an FJ62 radiator from a place half an hour from my house that does swaps and restorations on cruisers. Looked over their recent swap while it was on the loft. Pristine 450 from Oregon with a 6.2 and 6l80. I was amazed. They have so many cool cruisers.
Name of said "place"?

Does anyone know of a page on here or thread that just lists out the different benefits and hurdles of each LS/Trans combo???? 5.3 vs 6.0 vs 6.2. 4L60 vs 4L8 vs 6L80. I know the 5.3 seems to be the easiest... esp when it comes to roadblocks with DASH lights and shifting lights.

which is going to produce best fuel economy, which trans is most reliable.

Just be great if there was one feed that listed all the pro's and con's.
