FJ62 Trim Screw Color (1 Viewer)

Morning All,

Here's an odd/small one for you as I continue to fuss on an '89 FJ62. Does anyone know if the original screws on the kick trim - front and rear - were color matched to the brown plastic or were they just black (unlikely they were stainless)? My screws are all so aged/rusted it's difficult to tell the original color.

The PO of my FJ62 threw the entire hardware isle of screws and bolts at mine, but I want to say the remaining original hardware is a polished stainless for most portions of the interior.

Mine look like some sort of black oxide coating on steel fasteners. SS would be nice but are softer than steel screws

New: 93568-54516. I think they are that weird brownish color? There are a few screws in the FJ62 with that color.

Thanks - this is what I went with (not OEM but equivalent look). Will need to decide if I actually want to go with the genuine Toyota part.
