When I assume that, since something isn't really my style, it also won't be for anyone else......I'm often proven wrong. Therefore, I thought it might be worthwhile to post this on MUD.
I recently acquired an FJ62 with a "custom," but well made, front bumper that was bolted, not welded, to the frame ends of the truck. I plan to either go back OEM with a chrome bumper or maybe an ARB, so I've taken this one off. It doesn't look like it was ever used for a winch setup, although it appears to be plenty stout enough for such an application. Either a cradle would need to be added for a "feet-down" winch mount or maybe an extra forward plate welded in back of the front plate for a "feet-forward" winch mount. All it needs is some paintable rust inhibitor and some black paint.
In any event, let me know if this is something that might interest anyone, as it's a LOT cheaper than an ARB!
